"Steve Jobs" by Joanne Mattern is part of the biography and memoir collection. This book is recommended for young children ages 5-8 years old (P)Primary.

This book is a bio about Steve Jobs, who died in 2011 from a lengthy illness. Steve Jobs was the inventor of Apple, ITunes, IPods, I pads, and IPhones. Apple was the first computer to have any type of color. This book discusses his many creations along with his family history, and how he became so successful.

I rated this book with 4 stars. On the front cover is a picture of Steve Jobs smiling in his happier days before he passed away. Throughout the book is a colorful illustration of the computer animated movie "Toy Story", which young children always enjoy watching. The words throughout the book is medium font, and is very easy for a third grader to read. A theme for this story could be "believing in yourself".

I would recommended young children in the 3rd reading this story, but children in the first and second grades could listen and follow. The words may be a little difficult for a first or second grader. This is a fairly new book, so the information throughout is updated and accurate. Any age range of children would find this book interesting, being that the world is now revolving around the internet and electronic devices.

I like this book because Steve jobs was a great person and he made a lot of great ideas so the world could be a better place.
I think that some people said that his ideas might not work but he did not listen to them, he just kept on doing new inventions and doing very great stuff.
I really want to recommend this book because people should read more about Steve jobs becuase may be they can invent something too.
