Informative introductory read. I came across Enneagram with a coach that did a initial profiling and explanation for me. I wanted to find out more if the analysis was accurate (it was), and how I could do better.

The book was useful to help me uncover how I am a certain type, and how similar it could be to the others, and why I am not those type. It also gave me a sense of direction, towards my growth should be directed so that I could become a better person.

This was the first book I read about the enneagram, but it was really of no use to me. I couldn't figure out what my type was supposed to be at all. The Wisdom of the Enneagram was faaaar more helpful.

This book is an excellent introduction to the Enneagram. The layout is very straightforward and descriptions are quite clear. At first, I was not really sold on the Enneagram as a personality typing theory, but once I'd typed myself it just fit me so perfectly that I was sold.

There is some "woo woo" in the book that got a little old, but it's very limited. I also felt like I wanted to dive more deeply into the types. So as much as this is a solid introduction, I think I'm going to try some more library books until I find a more applicable one to purchase.
