12-12-12 (End-Of-The-World Trilogy #2)

Welcome to the parallel universe of 12-12-12. This not what actually happened during 2012. But what unfolds is not more implausible. Nor is it less implausible. It is reality with healthy doses of surreality and comedy, spawned by the tragic absurdity of our times. It is laugh-out-loud brain food for hungry minds.

John Rachel moves from investigative realism to zany fantasy - or does he?
Authors grow (hopefully). John Rachel has grown in his craft. Though his first novels we intense and eye-opening exposés - such as FROM THAILAND WITH LOVE in which he addressed in novel form the trafficking of adolescent Asia girls for prostitution in the US, to THE MAN WHO LOVED TOO MUCH (more a travelogue of his adventures in living in and traveling through Japan, China, Nepal, India and Thailand), to 11.11.11. - the pr

When author John Rachel asked me to review his novel, "12-12-12," my inclination was to decline. Mr. Rachel described himself as a "left-of-left liberal," and I wasn't keen on hearing any more of the political diatribes that were flooding the airwaves during this election year. Fortunately, though, my curiosity won out, and I plunged into the story. And my hunch was correct. 12-12-12 is a nonstop diatribe against... well, just about everything in America.

In the story, 23-year-old Noah Tass has l

Wow what a read! I found myself laughing at some of the antics of Noah and his cicrumstances that befell upon him.
I really enjoyed reading 12-1-12.
I received an e-copy for my review from John Rachel.

I am the author. It's my best book to date. Readers must bring a keen sense of humor, appreciation for irony, a sense of the absurd, and a revulsion for the current social and political dysfunction when they sit down with this hyper-realistic satire. One reviewer called it "laugh-out-loud brain food for hungry minds."

John Rachel has a B. A. in Philosophy, has traveled extensively, is a songwriter, music producer, novelist, and a bi-polar humanist.
