This Is Life: Real Stories from the Road

Rate this book
“I love a good story. I think everyone does,” says Bob Lenz, one of our nation’s most sought-after youth speakers. “But something happens when the cover of a book or the opening screen of a movie says, ‘Based on a true story.’ True stories are more personal, more compelling, more captivating.” In “This Is Real Stories from the Road,” Bob shares true stories of joy and triumph, of hurt and heartache, and of crazy situations encountered while living life on the road. These real-life stories will encourage, challenge and increase your faith in a big God who can bring good out of pain and still change lives. Even yours. For this is life...to know You. (John 17:3)

This gives a great account of a man of true faith who reaches teens through assemblies and events. His poignant and moving stories of his travels make it an interesting read!

Bob Lenz and his work with Life Promotions are amazing. His heart for youth is genuine. I’ve seen him speak many times and am always moved by his message. This book shares many of his stories of life on the road reaching out to troubled youth. Though the stories are great and Bob’s passion came through clearly, the stories were getting old by the end of the book. I would still recommend this for anyone who also has a heart for lost youth and how they can find salvation.

I love Bob, and I love his programs, but the book didn't quite hit home the same way. The stories were not as in depth as I expected and the book did not flow the way I expected. Overall it is a worthy read and a very quick read (one evening ought to do it).
