Esse livro tem muitas seções interessantes. Por exemplo, eu gostei as introduções que explicaram os lugares no mundo que falam português. Eu deveria admitir que a data de publicação faz algumas informações irrelevantes. Mais, em geral, os tópicos foram bons. É provável que essa resposta tenha erros, mas estou tentando.
I read this gosh dang textbook cover to cover, so you better believe I'm counting it on my reading list.
As far as textbooks go, it's actually pretty good. I like how the grammar sections were set up and taught. The listening examples were helpful. I have two main gripes, however:
1) I read the e-text which may have affected my reading experience, but sometimes the text was so small and grainy that I couldn't read it even when it was zoomed in. This was especially frustrating when the text was the lesson's vocabulary :))
2) Most of the statistics are out of date. I know it was originally published in 2007, but the second edition is from 2013 and I don't know if it was updated. Considering there is an entire section on science and technology, it's wildly out of date, especially since we're almost a quarter of the way through o século XXI.
