I was really looking forward to this book. I fell in love with Ethan and Sonya's love/hate relationship from the beginning of this series. I am so disapointed with how their story was told. I know the author stated that this would be a sensual journey but I didn't realize that just meant it was a retelling of the first 3 books from someone else's point of view. I expected this to be a kickass book since Sonya is a kickass female and Ethan is strong enough of a male to be her mate. I feel cheated ...more
Confusing. Frustrating. Annoying.

I have never experienced this before (and i hope not again). The whole book is a recap of the first three books with added scenes (that seem like filler) with Ethan & Sonya. If you love the series as much as I do...I would skip to the last 40% of book to learn what happens with this couple. Even with all that, I still gave up before finishing. I am sure the next book will catch me up.

I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to this book, so when it came out I bought it immediately. I paid $7.99 without a second thought because her first three books were sooooooo good. I have buyers remorse now.

This book is just a summary of the first three books. I knew what was going to happen the whole freaking time while reading it. I am so upset with the author. I think this was just a huge cop out to not have a original new story. It was actually a chore to finish this book.

At long last

At long last we finally get Ethan & Sonya’s full story that Ms. Fay has been teasing us with for at least the past 2 books.

And trust me this story doesn’t disappoint! It’s steamy and fun. The back and forth banter between the two makes for some laugh out loud times. But the story of these two opposites finding their mate is also filled with each finding a bit of their softer side in each other as well.

Well done!

Does anybody know if Kiersten is making a book about Zoey? I mean how would that work with her being human?

Not as good as I remember the earlier books being, perhaps because some of it is concurrent to the other books so it doesn't delve in deeply, but still a diverting read.

I loved the first three books of this series very much and I was waiting for Sonya's and Ethan story!

You just get from the start that they'll get together, so it is not a surprise.

So why only 4 stars?

Because in this book nothing new actually happens. It is almost just retelling of what has happened in the previous books told from another, Sonya's and Ethan's, point of view.

I said almost because there are a few scenes that are new and that was what made this book worthy of the foruth star. Otherw

I truly enjoyed this wonderful reiteration of the stories from the three previous books, but now told from Ethan and Sonya’s prospective point of view and it gave us the enjoyable completion to their tumultuous relationship which we have watched develop, at times with amusing anticipation. Their story gives us some of the missing parts to each of the stories which then bring all of them to a fantastic completion. Thank you Ms. Fay, I am definitely looking forward to the next adventure in the “Sh ...more

With much difficultly, I had read through Demon Untamed without skimming. It's like watching a rerun with different leads/POVs. There's no intrigue or anticipation to keep me enthrall, since I already know the ending...even the relationship development between Ethan and Sonya is no mystery.

Had I read this book first, I would've loved it. Instead, I can only say I liked it and hope this series does not end here...

Kickass Sonya.

Sonya and Ethan's story the final book in the series. Man those teasers throughout the first three books had me gagging to know what happened between those two. Sonya was such a strong female lead, she was badass, a fighter like her brothers and no damsel in distress. She carried scars within her since she was a child after a very traumatic experience. An event which shaped her into the woman she is today. Brave, loyal, spunky, a fighter and stubborn as a mule Sonya reminded me of

The downside to this book, and something that some will not like at all, is that this is a recapping of the first three books of the Demon series to go back over all of what transpired between Sonya and Ethan from the beginning. What this means is if Sebastian and Anya had a scene devoted to them, but Sonya and Ethan’s relationship happened to be important in that scene also, then you will sometimes also be reading a repeat of what happened regarding the other characters and not just reading it ...more

I think the author painted herself into a corner with this one.

A lot of the scenes were recycled from books 1-3. Some were from a different character's POV, but some were identical and felt copy-pasted.

This was probably because when she was writing books 1-2, she wasn't thinking yet about if she would write Sonya and Ethan's book, and what she would do with it if she was. By book 3, I'm guessing she already had it in mind as there were actually a couple of parts in this book that seem to have

During the first three books I was dying to know more about Ethan and Sonya. This fourth book did not disappoint. I enjoyed seeing some previous scenes from that different point of view.

You definitely get a different feel for Ethan seeing his point of view on the Asteroid base when he captured our beloved crew. In the first three books I mostly wanted to smack Ethan in the back of the head, thinking it was all just passing time and getting her out of his system. This time I heart went out to hi

I so enjoyed the first three books and was glad to have the opportunity to read Sonya and Ethan's story from a different perspective. This is a real treat for those who enjoyed the characters and wanted them to get their own book. It does reference many of the same events buy from their POV and not as just part of the other character's stories. It felt much more intimate to hear their thoughts as they made their decisions and fell in love.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I loved this book so flipping much!
These two are hot, stubborn, hot-headed, and perfect for each other 😍 They sure as heck fight their attraction tooth and nail.
It was very interesting seeing Sonya and Ethan's POV of the stories. And how their own was developed. And I love that the recount of this book is more of a behind the scenes type. What happened with Ethan and Sonya, when the others were on their own missions and situations.
Can't wait for more!

This addition to the Shadow Quest series is basically a recap of the first three stories. This one is told from the perspectives of Ethan and Sonya and weaves thru the other stories. While this may not have been my most favorite of the series, it is a great addition. I have enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end.

Ethan & Sonya’s story! This story takes you through much of the series, albeit from Ethan & Sonya’s view. It has new & exciting details with some steamy scenes along the way. I enjoyed getting lost in their story as well as finding new aspects of it. This was a great read with a good ending, however I do wish there had been an epilogue with a look into the future.

I voluntarily agreed to review this book, & was given an Advanced Reader Copy to do so.

Awesome series

Really enjoyed the chase that Sony had Ethan do. Though it wasn't intentional, still enjoyable. Loved how they got to know and then love another. A lot of repeating scenes since author made it so that you can start from anywhere in the series but still enjoyed the new details from their point of view.

By far the best out of the series!

I love the series entirely but Sonya and Ethan! Omg those two had me on edge (pun intended) through out the entire book! I have a new guy to add to my top 10 book crushes. *sigh* my heart broke in two with these two but they melded it back together nonetheless with their love.

Love this series

This series has been so awesome.I love that you get the sexy stuff and a really good overall story. Looking for more books in this series soon I hope!!
Kiersten Fay offers this amazing fantasy/sci fi series (Shadow Quest) that after the first trilogy I was worried it would end. Thank You Ms Fay for keeping the story going. For all of you who loved the original characters but wanted to know more about Ethanule and Sonya this is the book for you. Warning.. it has been written in a similar format to Aimee and Fang's book by Sherrilyn Kenyon... A Lot of retelling of the story just from their POV's. That makes this book an excellent stand alone as w ...more

I i'm going to start with the disclaimer that I loved the first three books. These books had everything you would want magic, science fiction, romance, adventure and action.

The only reason that this one didn't get a five star rating like the first three books is because I felt that this book was pretty redundant.

The storyline pretty much ended in book 3 - for the most part. the only thing we needed to know is what would end up happening with Ethan. Book four was basically a retelling of all of

Okay, this is pretty much a retelling of the first three books from Sonya and Ethan's point of views and their story! Which, HELLO, we already got in the first three books! I was surprised by this take on this book. After re-reading what I already read in the first few chapters, I starting skimming through. FINALLY, the last two chapters had new content and I was able to finish their story. But, jeez, I feel like I got ripped off! What a waste of $8!!!! WTF! This seems like a book that should be ...more

Pretty much just a recap from the first three books told from Ethan's and Sonya's POV. While I love this world and all the characters in it I wish we would have gotten a continuation of the story not just a recap. Guess she did it so we could see their love build and see their story since it plays such a big role in the first three books, which I can see being as important especially with Ethan. But I just wished it would have been a little fast-forwarded and not taken up the whole book so we co ...more

This was a lot of the first 3 from Sonya's POV. I didn't mind reading it again, as it really was a different view that was quite interesting. The back and forth between Sonya and Ethan is electric, and I'm not sure if I enjoyed them together more than them hating each other, or the other way around. The only thing that bothered me was that this one could have benefited from a final editor. While it had only one grammatical error (their instead of they're), in several places the wrong words were ...more

I was really disappointed from the first chapter. This is a retelling of the first three books with a different point of view. I was looking forward to seeing Sonya in a different light, seeing her be the kickass bitch she is.

Nope nothing new happened. At times I thought that it was a copy paste job and had to stop myself from skipping. I believe that this book could have been a great novella and started after the invasion or the end of book three.

The good part is that the last two chapters rap

I didn't realize Demon Untamed was the fourth book in a series when I accepted it for review. I always prefer to read a series in order but ya know what? This book was written so well, it made no difference. Sonya, the heroine, is a kick ass demon with a somewhat grumpy but fun personality. Ethan, the hero, also has a fun personality and is smokin' hot. The tension, sexual and otherwise, between the two, made for a fun read. If you like demons and sci-fi in your romance, you might like Demon Unt ...more
