I was asked to read an ARC of this book as I know the author and have always believed her to be an outstanding writer. I must admit, being a children's book did give me trepidation (I'm 47)!

The amazing thing about these stories is that they pulled me in. The way Ms. Garcia writes is so eloquent and so perfectly suited to mesmerize that it honestly took me back to when I was a child and to those memories of my parents reading to me and of me learning to read as well. All I kept thinking, over and

I thoroughly enjoyed this children's book. I was hooked and was keen to read on and explore this fabulous world that the author has created; it's a wonderfully creative and original book. The characters are lovable and the little stories are very entertaining. It is perfectly crafted for children. Every so often the author invites the child who is reading the book to draw what they imagine certain characters or events look like. This is a great way to involve children and keep them interested as ...more

I was given an arc copy of this magical book by the author to read. I can honestly say this is a book all children will love and even the adults will be transported back to a time when they were children. I read this magical book to my 3 year old princess and she did not want it to end. She loved Little Nani and her favourite character was thunder... This book is beautifully written and I see children all over the world reading this eloquent children's book. If you have children I urge you to ...more

This book has not been published just yet, but I received a ARC from the author of this children's book. This story takes you through a whimsical journey of a little girl named Nani. She has magical powers by use of a magic wand that she took an online course on how to use it. This book sucks you into the story of a very magical, happy, funny, silly, charming, sometimes naughty, but naive little girl's adventures. She uses her magic wand to help her along her fairy tale journeys. Sometimes Nani ...more

*Review of an ARC of the upcoming release “The Funny Adventures of Little Nani”

Little Nani, Little Nani, Little Nani…what is there to say about you? There’s a lot to say about you Little Nani. You’re a very cute, very funny, mischievous, but you have a great big heart. This goes for your book as well.

The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a refreshing change from my normal reads. It’s not that I don’t read children’s books. It’s more that I don’t read them often enough. Also, I don’t run across

"Dear Little Nani,
I read your adventures and I believe you're a very good witch! Please would you come here and bring your magic wand? There are some spells I really need you to cast.
People here are quite friendly and I believe you'll find lots of new friends.

P.S.: I really like Jane Austen and novels in general, so I believe Horse and I will get on very well."

Do you think this is just a children book? You're wrong.

Author Cinta Garcia has written one of the most charming, exciting books you will find. Her ability to create characters is incredible. You will love Little Nani, you will laugh with the caffeine addicted zombie, you may even cry for the double-faced boy. But, you will find funny, sweet adventures in all of them with wonderful lessons such as environmentalism and being kind to one another. The illustrations by Almudena Romero are breathtaking as well. This is a triumph of writing you will ...more

When I first saw the adorable illustrations on the book trailer, I knew I had to buy this book. Now that I've read it, I wish it had been written when I was Little Nani's age (eight) because I would have loved her zany friends and crazy adventures. They are fun and imaginative on the same level as stories by Dr. Seuss or Lewis Carroll. I also would have loved adding my drawings to the stories in the spaces provided. I can't wait to give this book to the eight-year-olds in my life.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories about Little Nani and am looking forward to when my grandson is old enough to read it as I think he will love it, and thought the sections where you can draw our own pictures to go with the stories were a brilliant touch as the child can really get involved in the stories

The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a compilation of ten short stories. I never had the chance to read and review a children's book, that is why I didn't expect to enjoy it this much. Little Nani is a little girl with a magic wand that tries to help her friends, but every time she tries to use magic to do so everything goes wrong, although not every time the wrong result is necessary the bad one.

Oh I loved the enthusiasm and energy of Little Nani. She is willing to be friends with

English review:
"The Funny Adventures of Little Nani" is a piece of children literature filled with magic. The adventures of the main character are both simple and delightful. They have got sense of humour and sweetness, but also children’s naughtiness. I like that even when they are separated stories, there is a junction between them. I cannot say there is a proper leitmotiv but the presence of Little Nani, although there is always cohesion among the tales, so that

This is my first review for a children's book, so I hope I do it justice.
Little Nanni is a delightful book about a little girl who took an email course on how to be a witch. The small detail is that she might have not passed her course so her magic spells don't quite work as she likes. This is how we embark on her adventures and we meet Big Billy and Skinny Nikki, "her first "casualties". Her gang of friends keep growing and become quite the posse. She keeps trying her magic and keeps not having

*I was provided with a free copy of this book for the blog tour. Thank you!*

I have to admit. When my friend, Amina, told me about this book and asked me to join the blog tour, I wasn’t very excited. But I joined anyway, because friends help each other. Let me explain why I wasn’t excited. I’ve never read nor reviewed a book for kids. No, I didn’t read books for kids when I was a kid. So I didn’t know what to expect.

Well, now I have to say… I soo loved this book! It was exactly what I needed. I

The Funny Adventures of Little Nani by Cinta Garcia De La Rosa is a fun, charming collection of short stories. I enjoyed reading about all the mischief that Little Nani got herself into. What with the help of her friends, Skinny Nikki, Big Billy, and horse.

I do have to agree that I found Skinny Nikki and Big Billy better as ostriches then boys. Yes, the mischief I was talking about with Little Nani involves her and her magic wand. You see, Little Nani is a witch in training. Only Little Nani

The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a charming collection of short stories for children. I really like the quirkiness of Little Nani's world, and how she views the world in her own inimitable manner. She uses her mishaps with magic to teach her young readers a lesson as she entertains them with vivid scenes of mayhem. The illustrations are quite beautifully done, and I loved the interactive nature of the book: the author frequently engages her young readers by asking them to draw the scene ...more

The story of Little Nani and her assortment of unusual friends is a collection of life’s lessons they learn from each other. The author readily engages the reader to the point of visualizing the magical spells taking place through her descriptive prose. The illustrations were an excellent portrayal and reminiscent of Paul Meyerheim’s in the 1891 German edition of Kinder‐ und Hausmärchen of which I have a copy.

One of the clever aspects of this little book is the area the author provides to

I enjoyed Reading about Little Nani with all her hilarious characters. I like that the book is interactive. She's tries so hard to perfect her spells with her little wand. She took online classes but just can't seem to get them right. She has a feisty attitude , but tries to help everyone as only Little Nani can. She teaches lessons on how to be nice to every creature or person she comes across. The characters and their costumes are clearly visible with all her beautiful illustrations. Come ...more

My children are now nearly grown up, and so have passed beyond the allure of this phenomenal book. But I can remember when they were wee things, barely more than bright eyes and tufts of hair poking up beneath their blankets as I struggled each night to tell them stories that they would always remember. That was when I needed The Funny Adventures of Little Nani the most. I needed to tell my girls fanciful stories of wise Nani. I may have had to explain what a "caffeine-addicted zombie" was, but ...more

As a person who has spent the past 13 years working with children, I've probably read more children's books than adult books even if I do not normally review them, but Little Nani is adorable!
Nani takes her wand and her not-so-polished magical skills on several adventures throughout the book. Even though it's written for children, if you're like me and still love to read children's books at the age of... :-D you'll still love Little Nani. I mean she meets a caffeine addicted Zombie! Nani is a little girl who aspires to be a witch and help people, although her results fall short of what she intends, or do they? Find out why turtles are so slow, how ostriches stay warm in the snow and what stories horses like to read. A fabulous book for all children and for those adults that want to be transported back to their childhood and the magic that happened there...for myself, I collect children's books and this is a lovely addition....

Little Nani is an 8 year old witch who hasn’t quite learned how to wield magic. This doesn’t stop her though from casting spells to help the different characters she meets in her adventures. Unfortunately, not everything turns out as planned.

The quirky stories contained within this book are silly and different. Not all make sense but it’s a children’s book so it’s not supposed to make sense, right? Some are simply stories to enjoy, some explain how things in the world have come to be and some

Cinta Garcia de la Rosa remembers what it means to be a child. Her book, The Funny Adventures of Little Nani, proves this not only through entertaining and hilariously preposterous stories, but by engaging children in the creative process of her book.

Little Nani is a young girl with an irresistible and irrepressible positive outlook on everything that happens. She derives infectious joy from helping other people — or at least, trying to help.

I started this review for Little Nani by skimming over each story just to make sure I had my T's crossed and I's dotted so to speak, but what I ended up doing was re-reading every one of them. Ms. Garcia de la Rosa's writing has a way of completely engrossing the reader regardless whether the reader is a child or an adult.

That is the biggest compliment any writer can receive, that their story is captivating and Little Nani is utterly so. From the first "Clop, clop, clop" it pulls you into Nani's

We were blessed to be asked to read this adorable adventure series. First and fore-most, as a mom and an daughter with an angel mom, I loved the dedication and appreciated it much more than usual. Beautiful!

I know that many people that read the synopsis of the book, could think that it is a book just for children, but I have to say again, that sharing it with my kids was really amazing. We enjoyed every little sentence and we laughed a lot together.

I have had the pleasure of speaking with the Author and can say that she is just as darling as her character Little Nani! Such an adorable book with creative characters and a unique way to interact with young readers! I love Little Nani and each of her adventures and how the Author infuses parts where the readers can draw their own version of what they are reading! My favorite was "Little Nani and the Caffeine-Addicted Zombie." I'm a huge zombie fan so I enjoyed that one the most.

Little Nani is an enjoyable, positive, childhood heroine. She has great intensions, that don't always lead to the best results. Her friends are an unlikely crew but she loves them all.
I read this book on my own and then to my little sisters, ages 5 and 9. They loved the story and giggled a lot. There were parts in the book that just didn't make sense to me, but they laughed their heads off.

Little Nani is a girl with a sassy attitude and a magic wand. Unfortunately, Little Nani has not passed her online course in witchcraft! Havoc ensues as she turns children into ostriches, creates flying muffins and gets up to all sorts of adventures. The characters are lots of fun. There is Horse (who loves to read), a Ghostly Bookworm, a zombie, a robot and many more.

This author thinks outside the box and the characters she creates are uniquely endearing. Children will love this book of short
