I got this book because it was offered free and I thought, why not. It's not something I would normally read, so I wasn't expecting to like it much. Happily, I liked it very much. It was sweet, romantic, frustrating, sexy, maddening, and eye opening. There is a very good man, hurt deep from a greta loss and a intelligent woman damaged by her controlling family. Together, perhaps they can find a way to happiness. The perfect summer read.
The characters are very intelligent, strong, sexual

I'm so glad I picked this freebie up. It was a quick hot read. The main couple had some valid reasons for not being together, and amazingly enough, they were the same ones. Thankfully, they worked through them and got their HEA.

I'm looking forward to the next one which is about Blake's SEAL team buddy, Cade.

Low-angst, hot and sweet. I don't understand why they took so long to get together and why Alexia was so upset he was a Seal. The action scenes with the kidnapping were very good. The love scenes were steamy and nicely written.

I have to say, this was pretty much in line with my expectations of Harlequin. And they're set pretty low. I don't know much about the Navy SEALs, but it appears neither does the author. And she didn't bother to do much in the way of research, either, in order to write a book about NAVY SEALS! Part of what makes a story good, to me, is believe-ability. This totally lacked that. From the generic lingo (sorry, but throwing in a few mentions of BUDs does NOT an authentic SEAL-grounded story make) a ...more

It's okay. Quick, cute read. It's nothing to write home about.
Surprisingly, the sex was pretty disappointing, and the weakest part of the book, imo.

but didn't LOVE it like I usually love my Navy Seals ... maybe because there was was no real Navy Seal action, no interaction with other Seals. I don't know. It wasn't bad - glad it was a freebie.

Blake Landon is One HOT highly decorated Navy Seal. After one of the team and close friend is killed on a mission, everyone is ordered to take a two week mandatory R&R break. While away from duty Blake meets Alexia and her brother Michael not knowing she is the daughter of the Admiral.

Alexia has always been brilliantly smart and has always clashed with her parents. She has always felt like her father treated her and her brother like the military men under his command. Basically If and order is g

The daughter of a Navy Admiral, Alexia Pierce, has sworn never to become involved with anyone in the military. Navy SEAL Lieutenant Blake Landon is grieving the loss of a teammate and isn’t interested in a relationship. Neither of these facts can stop the intense chemistry and steamy passion that sizzles between them.

The delightful characters and engaging premise make this a must read despite the inaccuracies in military jargon and protocol.

What it's about: This is the first installment of her Uniformly Hot SEALs series from Harlequin's Blaze line. It involves Blake Landon, a SEAL also called Boy Scout, who is the one who follows rules to a T. After being ordered on leave, he's looking for something to keep his mind off his last mission. And then we have Alexia Lane, super smart, a bit high maintenance and at times a little annoying. She's looking for something to light up her body and heart. When the two collide, rules and inhibit ...more

Review of free, Kindle edition of 2013 Harlequin Blaze erotic romance

Alexia is a beautiful woman in her late 20's who is a brilliant scientist involved in research aimed at helping victims of sexual assault. She is alienated from her father, who is a harsh, cold Navy admiral who for decades has overseen the training of SEALs, and she is only mildly close with her easygoing, complacent mother. The most important person in her life is her brother who is her best friend. He is a handsome, Calvin Kl

Good book. Blake is a SEAL who is very good at what he does. When a mission ends badly he and his team are ordered to take leave. Blake prefers to be busy, so the time with nothing to do gives him too much time to think and remember the loss of his friend. When he meets Alexia on the beach, they immediately connect. They don't exchange much in the way of personal information, but their other exchanges are smoking hot.

Alexia has come back to California for a research job. It also puts her closer

A Navy SEAL grieving from watching his best friend killed on a mission meets and falls for a woman, daughter of an Admiral, who wants absolutely nothing to do with anyone in the military. This great premise hooked me, but the constant issues with military jargon, protocol, and stereotypes made me hate this one. As other reviewers have mentioned, even the incorrect use of the term "soldier" started to drive me crazy by chapter 3. (i.e. Only the Army

I'll say it right out of the box. The only thing that really bothered me about this book was the fact that Alexia kept referring to Blake as a soldier. Blake was a Navy SEAL. Anyone in the Navy is referred to as a sailor. Soldiers are in the Army; marines are in the Marine Corps; airmen are in the Air Force. Call it foible but it drove me crazy.

That being said, I actually enjoyed the book. It was interesting to see how long it would take Alexia to discover that Blake was exactly what she didn't

This book started off good, then BANG it took a right on to Corny Lane!! It all of a sudden became a 007, mission impossible story. I couldn't stop SMH because the reasons for Alexia getting kidnapped didn't seem realistic. It reminded me of a novella story line, actually more like a Spanish novella story line!!! I kept finding myself wanting to say Aye Dios mio, while reading it!

I was pleasantly surprised about this book considering it was a freebie. Well written, not your typical over the top Harlequin Romance. Enough suspense built in to make it interesting.

REVIEW: A SEAL’S SEDUCTION is the first installment in Tawny Weber’s UNIFORMLY HOT SEALs contemporary romance series. This is Blake and Alexia’s story. The premise focuses on Blake’s two week R & R and Alexia’s need to get out and have a good time. When the two of them meet, sparks fly and a one-night stand turns into something more. But when Alexia discovers that Blake is a Navy SEAL under the commander of her father, she walks away leaving Blake with a broken heart.

I really liked the sound of this one but in the end I was really disappointed with it. I couldn’t connect with the characters or the story and it didn’t engage me at all.

The characters were annoying and unlikeable. Blake had no real personality at all and he was really quite boring. When he meets Alexia she makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with military men at all. Instead of telling her he is a SEAL and proving to her that her ideas of men in th

You know that feeling you get when you've had a book sit on your kindle or bookshelf for so long that you finally sit down and have a read? You then mentally kick yourself hard because you feel like you've deprived yourself of a bloody good story wrapped up in loads of deliciousness?

I picked this book up for two reasons. First, it was free. Second, I read Temptation, then Blaze for so many years, that I’m always hopeful that I’ll find that magic of the 1980s and 1990s. And . . . not so much.

Let me be upfront. I don’t like police, firefighter, private eye, private security, or military heroes. For the most part, though, the hero’s job didn't bother me too much. It was the heroine’s job that: Drove Me Crazy. So our intrepid heroine is an acoustic psychologist or some such thi

Blake Landon lost his best friend in a SEAL raid and he has no intention of losing his heart to the woman whose father happens to be an Admiral in charge of the SEAL teams. But he doesn't know that when she spots him on the beach outside San Diego, CA.

Alexia wants hot sex and fun. She has no intention of hooking up with a military man, but she doesn't know Blake's background when she spots him on the beach and invites him into her bed and ultimately into her heart.

If you love sexy romantic suspense novels with a military theme, you'll love the first installment in the Uniformly Hot SEALs book, SEAL's Seduction, by Tawny Weber. For Lieutenant Blake Landon from the Navy SEALs, he needed to distract himself while he on leave, and mourned the loss of his best friend. He wasn't looking for a commitment or serious relationship. And that's when he met Alexia Pierce, the admiral's daughter, this red-headed spitfire who turned his world upside down and seduced him ...more
