FINDING JUSTICE is Rachel Brimble's Harlequin debut and a worthy one it is too. Harlequin Super Romance is an imprint which features novels with slightly more intricate plots than regular romances have. This is a piece of emotional drama combined with romance and even suspense. A great combination and a most absorbing read.

Detective Sergeant Cat Forester is a strong police detective, a no nonsense woman with a mission and a passion for justice. However, beneath that tough exterior there's a hear

Being in the line of justice can be very tough and when you are female I think it is even harder, everyone knows it more of a man's kind of world. And when your childhood friend is killed and you have to go after the killer, being emotionally involved makes it all the more worse to deal with.

But imagine that the suspect is your past and deep down you know he is innocent for how can a kind and caring man be capable of committing such a ultimate act of evil? Will you still go after the truth in or

Finding Justice is Rachel Brimbles debut novel for Harlequin Superromance and it doesn't disappoint. This book could easily have been published under the Intrigue line, but I'm glad it didn't.

Cat is the kind of heroine you very rarely find in Harlequins where any level of mystery is involved. She's a top notch inspector and there's not a weak bone in her body when it comes to finding a killer. Now when it comes to her personal life that's another story.

I loved Cat and I especially loved how she

A tightly-plotted romantic thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, Finding Justice is Rachel Brimble’s exquisitely written debut novel for Harlequin Superromance!

Sergeant Cat Forrester has got a lot on her plate at the moment. Juggling the challenging demands of her busy job with caring for a mother who is constantly trying to mend her grieving heart by seeking solace at the bottom of a glass has left her feeling wrung out and exhausted. But Cat has never backed down from a c

Can I say that I’m proud to say that I’m honored to have read Rachel Brimble’s debut Superromance. I was thrilled when I emailed her and told her that I was going to feature every Thursday Harlequin. I asked her if I could spotlight her debut and she more than said yes and she would like send me the book to review. Woo Hoo! As I mentioned above, she has the “voice” for Superromance. I know of some published Harlequin authors that write for the other lines and they have submitted to the line and ...more

I love Rachel Brimble's writing, and I quickly fell in love with the setting and characters in Finding Justice too. Cat Forrester is a strong woman with major trust issues - not surprising considering the mess that her family life has turned into since her father's death as a result of a drink-driving incident and her mother's descent into alcoholism. Jay Garrett is an attractive, successful businessman and an old friend of Cat's who also just happens to be a recovering drug addict and a suspect ...more

She's a cop. He's a suspect in the murder of their best friend. Jay and Cat haven't seen each other for seven years and a lot has changed. Jay has done things he's not proud of. Cat has secrets she can't tell. Other than that, they're still drawn to each other as though they'd never been apart.

I loved these characters and this story. Enough suspense to keep you wondering and enough romance to be invested in Jay and Cat. Rachel Brimble has crafted an entertaining and suspenseful story. I highly r

I'm a sucker for reunion stories and this one kept me flipping the pages. Cat and Jay have made mistakes and seeing each other again causes them both pain. Especially as they work together to find the person who killed a close friend. Ms. Brimble kept the emotions high as they struggled to trust again. ...more

Didn't see it coming. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Cat is a law enforcement officer. She takes care of her alcoholic Mom. When Jay calls to tell her that their mutual friend has been murdered and that he's a suspect she heads to the cove. 2.5 stars Oh my goodness, where do I even start? I did like the setting of this book. Most Superromances I've read have American settings, so the English seaside town was a nice change. And I liked the basic set-up of the novel, with police sargeant Cat coming to the town to investigate her childhood friend's murder and also rekindling a romance with her first boyfriend, Jay. There's actually a lot of potential in this book, but things starts turning into a bit of a mess early on.
