LOL I love it!!! From beginning to end, this story is full of wonderful moments that will make you laugh, or smile, or cry. Ms. Bain certainly knows how to wring the emotion out of her characters and make you love or hate them!

Callie is a sweetheart and you'll just want to wrap your arms around her and help her through everything she's dealing with. You can't help but want to protect her from some of the people around her from both the past and present.

And Riley, well, he's a lot more than the

Calley dating a guy who forgot to tell her he was already married. Now alone and pregnant. Goal to get thru her cousin wedding without them knowing. Meeting Riley the Sheriff, and then later he is trying to protect her, when danger comes. Someone wants her dead. A good plot, showing two people struggling to get on with their lives. The lost of love, and trust hit them both. Very well done, and with a nice twist of who.

This was a fun and exciting read that you won't want to put down. Bain creates a fun web of characters for her story to involve and fills it with suspense and romance. Although it is obviously a sequel and refers a bit to characters and events from the first book, I didn't feel lost as I read it without having read the first. Calley was a sweet and independent girl with a sense of humor that can't be quenched. Riley is a noble and strong man with few faults. Perhaps overly perfect, but he's a go ...more

This inspirational romantic suspense lives up to its name. Calley is the "black sheep" of the family while her sister is "perfect," according to their mother. Calley has a romance with Peter, who fails to tell Calley he is married. After she learns she is pregnant, her life begins to spin. Riley and his aunt make Calley feel loved and protected, a first in her life. When Calley's independent nature clashes with the quiet Riley, sparks begin to fly. Can they each help the other to a compromise? K ...more

Wow!! Another non stop suspense by Kathryn J. Bain.
This is the story of Calley, a cousin to Lydia from the last book and Riley, the sherrif.
Amidst all the drama and chaos we see a romance emerge.
We,also see God's love and redemption here and we are reminded that just because you go to church, you are a good Christian.
I am privileged to have received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
