Dane's vampiric existence has taken its toll on his mind. Every sight, every sound, everything reminds him of events long-since past--and when you're a predator who needs to live in the NOW, being trapped in th

This wicked short story is about Dane, a great new character in the series, who takes joy in the hunt for his next victim. I loved the way Squiers takes us into the mind of Dane so easily and quickly, making us identify with this 'bad boy' who I kind of liked.
I can see why these shorts are being released separately from the larger novels. There are great ideas, concepts and ideas that could otherwise get lost in the context of a larger novel and because of their high quality I am pleased to find

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

A darker side of vampires is revealed in this tale as we meet Dane who watches from above. Like any born predator, he waits, he plans and he reacts to his growing hunger, choosing his victim very carefully. And my favorite part... Asrot the gargoyle who is given the task of keeping Dane on tract and focused. It amazes me how the author in a few pages can bring a character to life so quickly and completely. We see not only Dane's past but

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Dane us a nutjob, half vamp, whose best friend is a stone gargoyle named Asrot. He us also a cold blooded killer. While he is draining a victim, he is approached by a silver haired vampire who has a proposition for him. This is a short story with no ending which leads me to believe that more is coming. I love Nathan's books as he holds nothing back, they are gritty and hardcore.

Horrific and Wicked! I truly am impressed by this series the more I read the deeper meaning have of the dark world of the Crimson Shadow. Thank you Nathan Squires for sharing your mad writing skills with us..

In this installment we find Dane, a vampire who has been around so long, he is having troubles staying focused on the task at hand. Being distracted by the here and now, takes his mind to the past. Is he losing his mind or is his longevity becoming an issue? Definitely demented, that is for

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review ~WaAr~

This is a short read that is in the setting of the Crimson Shadow series. This story is about Dane who pretty much has flash backs due to things he sees while on top of a church next to his friend Asrot a gargoyle. It is funny and interesting to see in a mind that is deteriorated. I enjoyed it and give it a 4 star review!

10*s. I really enjoyed the humor in the story!! I felt really sorry for poor, poor Asrot. He sure got the short end of the stick. This is a MUST read enjoyable short story with one heck of a cliffhanger at the end that still has me thinking!! Thank you, Nathan, for another great read!!

Yet another dark short story from an excellent author, however I would have a loved to see a bit more to this story.
But as always the author never disappoints :)

Short story from the Crimson Shadow Series

A quick read that gives the reader a glimpse into more to come. I love the craziness of Dane and Asrot, and the darkness of the story.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
