I spent most of this book being confused. First, I was confused cause I wasn't sure who the suspects were, then I was confused when other characters started popping up cause I didn know if they were suspects or other people at the retreat. And lastly, I was confused over whether or not the things Ryan and Angie said and did were real or part of their undercover personality. In addition, I felt the ending as rushed.

The premise was great and It may have been me while reading this cause H

Perhaps, it was the narrator...I just could NOT get into this book. I vacillated between wanting to toss my beloved iPod into the garbage disposal to avoid EVER hearing this book again and listening to other books. I know...dramatic much?

But this book just SHOULD have been so much better!!! Call me a greedy reader, but I need more than an occasional sexy scene to make me care, and I simply ceased caring if these two EVER got together.

I found some of the situations laughable-seriously, if they're

Lying in Bed was a surprise for me, I went into thinking it would be like Pamela Clare's I-Team series, with a little FBI action, and a lot of steamy scenes, and that is exactly what I got, and a lot more. I didn't expect to connect or emotional bond with the characters because it is a very small book, but after finishing it, I can safely say that I fell in love with Ryan & Angie. Their chemistry was so spot-on and real that I just can't help loving them, and chee

Ok. It was a short, very predictable book. It was basically about two FBI agents, who have hots for each other and haven't been able to act on it. Undercover cops comes in as a saver and hot sparks fly. After a lot staying away dialogues, they manage to get together again. It was a typical Harlequin story and quickly over. Highly recommended to those who find it tiring to turn pages of novels you have picked up, because you would turning it so fast to get the damn book over! Anyway, the story di ...more

This was a really quick read for me and it sounded like a good read, which is why I requested it for review.

So the set up for this story is two undercover FBI agents are going to work. Except one of those FBI agents gets caught up on a case and a new agent is sent in to take her place. A new agent that Special Agent Ryan Vail has an attraction that he doesn’t want to be anywhere near for fear of acting on his attraction to her. Special Agent Angie Wolfe has had a thing for Ryan Vail sinc

Ryan is an FBI agent about to start a mission undercover posing with his partner Jeannie as a married couple on an intimacy retreat. Only Jeannie is held up in court and the office sends Angie instead. And that's a big problem for both of them... Because they almost hit it off at the Halloween party. The thing is, Ryan may be a lady-killer but he keeps his personal and his professional life separate. And Angie has no intention

Thanks to the publisher, Harlequin, and NetGalley for the chance to read this early!

I enjoyed this quirky tale about two FBI agents working undercover at an exclusive couple retreat to catch a blackmailer. Ryan Vail and Angie Wolf have been aware of each other for awhile; they even almost kissed once during a Halloween party. Both the sexual tension and emotional intensity fuels the natural progression of their attraction. Witnessing the characters struggle with maintaining a professional relati

I liked this book but the plot got a bit caught up in details that I found boring. The book started out strong -- the two main characters; Allison & Ryan are both FBI agents forced to pose as husband and wife in order to complete a sting operation at a spa resort. While theyboth have undeniably strong feelings for the other, they have never discussed or acted on them in the past and both want to stay professional so they can qualify for an upcoming promotion. But, of course, they can't keep ...more

This was a fun reading and also a heart tugging one.

What Ryan needs and what Angie wants are one and the same although they don't want to acknowledge it. I almost cried at Ryan's confession at the workshop the last day and was pissed at him at the way he handled the day after. I mean prick much!

Anyways, I love the story and the elements behind it. The way they went about solving the mystery and the bad guy. I just can't believe for what he used the freaking blackmail money!!

The end of the boo

4.5 Star Review

Lying In Bed was a great love story about hidden romance and unimaginable possibilities!

Angie and Ryan are paired up on an undercover case that involves seeing each other naked. A couples retreat. I loved these characters from that very first night that they spent In the same bed. Angie was an amazing woman with the ability to make Ryan loose his current thought. Ryan was a great sport, hell why wouldn't he be? He got to see Angie in her birthday sui

The characters had depth and there was a real emotional quality to them. The plot was awesome. The secondary plot with the blackmail was a little confusing. Since I didn't read the book within a week or so, I kept forgetting who was whom...Marcus/Ira and Delilah/Tonya. I'm still not sure which was which. However, the case was great, the tension and dilemma incredible and the loving fabulous. I would love to read more about these characters. These books always end too soon. I want to see some of ...more

Above average series romance! FBI Agent Ryan Vail was raised by a suave, but irresponsible father. FBI Agent Angie Wolf was raised by parents that found her lacking while pushing her very hard. Ryan and Angie end up as partners in an undercover operation at a couples retreat in Las Vegas.

Let's just say that what happens in Vegas does not end up staying in Vegas and these two get the HEA they deserve.
I got to admit that I was very excited when I read the summary for this book because "FBI Agents go undercover and have to pretend to be in a relationship" has been a trope I have always want to see explored on my favourite crime dramas between my favourite characters.

Did it live up to expectations? Unfortunately not quite. I just wasn't invested in the main characters, not to mention we weren't introduced to the suspects well enough to remotely care who turned out to be the perp.

My full review

I needed more of a reason to be invested in Angie and Ryan. The description of their attraction felt heavy handed, which always makes me shrink back from truly believing the relationship.

I give Lying in Bed 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Yawn. I got tired of the heroine constantly FaceTiming her friend in the bathroom, asking for advice on how to deal with working with her partner. Be a professional dammit! Again, no spark. Maybe I have less patience for the chemistry to develop. I need it pretty much to happen instantaneously.

Didn't connect with the characters at all. Passing.
Really enjoyed this book. Loved the storyline, the tension between the main characters was just right, and it tied up nicely and believable.
