Inspired by the story of the iconic Bettie Page, Logan Belle’s sizzling erotic novel explores the transformation of Regina Finch from shy librarian to the object of one powerful man’s all-consuming desire.

Regina Finch, brilliant and bookish, has worked her way up to her dream job as a librarian at the Main Branch of the New York Public Library. But her discovery of the sor

Please excuse my rant & swearing.

I know that before 50SOG that some books must of had kink & at least one must of had a rich troubled bastard as a lead. The problem is the now that 50SOG is mega successful that I cannot freaking search for a new book without being recommended some shitty 50SOG rip of book. 50SOG isn't even that good in my opinion so fuck only know's why so many authors want to copy the story.

There was nothing new
I hate, hate, hate DNF-ing a book. I also hate writing a 'review' for a book that I DNF. Most of the time when I DNF a book, I don't write a review. I stop reading the book and move onto something else. But there are times where I have to let my feelings known. And this is one of those times.

I read the blurb of The Librarian and decided to give it a try. It sounded Fifty Shade-ish but I liked the Bettie Page spin and felt that it would make the book slightly different from FSoG. Mind you, I have

I don't typically read and review erotic fiction, so I feel a little out of my element here. I have a few questions first, actually. Should I blast a book for being unrealistic? Isn't that the nature of erotica? What about criticizing it for being unoriginal? Don't people tend to read erotica for specific themes?

Well, here is a quote that tells you exactly what this book is:
"It's okay, Regina," he said. I know it feels good to let me be in control. You don't have to think about anything... Surre

Sebastian (the principal character; I love that name btw like Sebastian Stan grrr) was one of the most stupid men I've ever read about. His attitude was NONSENSE. He just met her and he was like "change your shoes" "but I like my--" "change your shoes NOW!" what the fuck? He wants her to dress likes he wants all the time and if she doesn't, he punishes her. WHAT THE FUCK?

This "novel" is not about love, it's just awkward sex. LIKE REALLY AWKWARD SEX. One nigh

The day has come where I have given my first five stars to an erotic book. I have to be honest, this book deserves the five stars, because it doesn't center around sex so much as the other books I have read. This book honestly lived up to its name as being a book about a young woman, Regina, who finds herself. Not just in a guy, either, but finds herself in her.

All Regina Finch has ever wanted was to work at the New York Public Library, so when she gets the job of her dreams things are looking u

Hopefully without sounding a bit too cliche or an overused description at this point, this book has a very Fiftyish feeling. No, I’m not saying that because it’s BDSM. I think it’s just the premise of the damaged rich boy with a crazy past, and enough power to make anything happen who falls in love with a simple, inexperienced and somewhat naive girl, which seems to work well. But that can also be bad because after a while these kinds of themes are start

Adam seni eve bırakayım diyor aynı paragrafta cümle kızın eve gittiğinde arkadaşıyla ...more

Regina Finch had dreamed of becoming a librarian always. Now one month since graduating with a degree in library and information science, she has got her dream job in the New York Public library. Although disappointed with her assigned position working at the delivery desk it was still a big thrill to be doing what she had wanted for so long.

When Regina enters one of the private rooms, and discovers a naked couple having sex, she is shocked to her core. But at the same time

So, here we go with another erotic story toying with submissives and the underground lifestyle they choose to live. But this story was different and I enjoyed reading the romance between the two characters. After all, the main character is a librarian - instant hook for me. They come from completely different backgrounds - she's a good girl type who doesn't know the package she has so to speak and he's rich and powerful and has an eye for fashion - and some scenes were humorous, such as him gett ...more

All Regina Finch has ever wanted was to be a Librarian.
She is social awkward and naive.
She finally had her dreams come true.
After graduating she moved to New York, away from her controlling Mother, got a room mate Carly and her dream job at the New York Public Library.
The place that holds happy memories for her as her father used to take her there before he passed.
She is not happy to be placed at the Returns desk by her evil boss the Ice Queen.. I mean Sloan.
But it is her dream

Regina always dreamed of working as a librarian.
When younger often traveled with her father from Pennsylvania to New York and and they loved to visit the famous Public Library.
Her father was a great architect and loved to take her to the city's famous buildings.
After finishing her Master's degree, she got a job in the dreamed place and moved there. Her father had died when she was 8 years old, and her mother stayed in Pensilvannia.

Okay I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this one or not because I have not yet read any book that has to do with librarians; but I got it from NetGalley and it was erotic so I figured why not! I actually was surprised and really did enjoy it! I will never look at libraries the same again It has BDSM but it isn’t overbearing so those who are still dipping their toes into it this would be an okay read. It is the typical millionaire who wants the girl and the girl resists. To be honest no matter ...more

I absolutely loved this book. You hear me say things are a fast read and this one was. I kind of like how nerdy Regina is and how she is so not what you expect to be the girl who gets the hot guy. I also loved the fact that she wants to be a librarian because I'd love to be one too. Had I known how much I would grow to love books I feel like I would have a different career. And I feel like had I been pushed more in high school to read, I would have taken a much different route in life. Sadly tho ...more

What does a mousy small town girl have in common with a rich city boy? A love of books and all things kinky. Regina is the proverbial good girl who focused on school and working towards her dream job. Her dream job is to be a librarian in New York City. Sebastian is one of the board members at the library and he's taken an interest in this shy unassuming girl.

This story was recommended to me by a reader of my blog. While their email was a tad rude, it intrigued me. When I found this offered on e

Regina gets her dream job at the main branch of the New York Public Library fresh out of library school. She's shy, unsure of herself, and naturally....a virgin. Normally the automatic shorthand of librarian = timid little mouse gets on my last good nerve but the author at least lays some groundwork on why Regina is the way she is. Although honestly, a librarian fresh out of school being as clueless as Regina is about social networking would just NOT happen.

Initial Thoughts:
I was given an ARC of this novel through NetGalley. Also, a book about a librarian? Sold.

The Pros:
I absolutely adored that Regina was a librarian. People see librarians as grandmother type figures that are uptight and stuffy. This book blew that stereotype out of the water.

The reverence that the author paid the New York Public Library was amazing. I felt like I was right there in the library with Regina and Sebastian.

Regina has more than one reason for moving to the Big Apple after one month of graduating from college. One reason is to land a job at NYC library, the one place she has always wanted to work at and the second was to get away from her mother.
Regina’s mother has always harped on her about men being not worth the distraction. Due to Regina’s father passing away when she was eight from heart condition. Regina’s mother always has a need to be in connection with Regina and Regina disposes of her cel

I recieved The Librarian from Net Galley, and read it a week ago,i have given it a few days to sink in before writing my review.

The Librarian is very well written, it is easy to read and very clear on its story line. It brushes over a lot of subjects that are usually sub related to the BDSM scene, but it’s not an in your face graphic version of a BDSM book, so it is great for readers being introduced to the topic. However I thought the main character Regina was a weak character. She was new to

This is the story of a naive girl who gets a job working at the NYC Public Library and meets the man of her dreams. She is a virgin at the beginning of the story, hops into bed with Mr. Wonderful, discovers her submissive side and learns that she likes a little pain with her pleasure. Sound familiar? This book was published with all of those 50 Shades readers in mind, but I will say that the writing is definitely better... just not as steamy. I liked the main character MUCH better in this book. ...more

Since reading this title I have seen many reviews for it pop up on Goodreads and on blogs. They are all pretty much saying the same thing and I am going to have to join them, The Librarian is a bit of a rip off of 50 Shades of Grey (a book which I am not keen on at all). Some of the similarities are shocking.
This is not the only issue I had with the book. I found it boring, thought it was choppy and felt no connection between the characters. Also, I had an issue with the way the guy treats the

I enjoyed this book a lot .This is a heart warming love story between Regina and Sebastian. It is written beautifully. What I like about THE LIBRARIAN is the fact that it is a love story that has BDSM in it. The love between Sebastian and Regina unfolds as the story progresses. The secondary characters are also interesting . It was interesting how Regina who was a shy virgin at the beginning was influenced by photos of Bettie Page and matured to the point of compromising and letting Sebastian ph ...more
