This is a really short read (about 44 pages) and it’s a bit of a punch in the gut in how its characters are so anti-hero/heroine.

Because of her scarred face Raina has retreated into herself; working for the same company she and Bill the junkie embark on what has the potential to change both of their lives.

This was the first full Pepper Pace novella that I have read. I think that all her characters have a serious physical or emotional limitations. They are so real. No chance for fantasy in her world. I like it.

Another good short from Pepper Pace. This story had me a little freaked out. I didn't like the drug use and I was surprised that Raina indulged in pills. Apparently she was familiar because she knew exactly what pill she was taking and how it would affect her.

It also felt weird that she gave up her vCard so quickly without any hesitation and fell in love as soon as it was over. I'm all for a good orgasm, but it wasn't all that.

Truly Awesome

I truly enjoyed this read even though it was short. It was wonderful to me because love can be all consuming no matter your situation or status in life. I've come to enjoy Ms. Pace's stories because they are truly amazing and make you see and believe that love can be a great in any aspect.
