Shelves: french-fiction
It's a slow-paced book for sure and had it been for the delicate writing of Curiol, her minute descriptions, almost transcribing the conscience of the main character I might have shoved it aside.
The foreword and epilogue frame the book within a nonfiction frame, but the content is something else. What to make of the complex relation that binds men to women, channels sons within their families, dare I say even molds their characters like those sacred stoned that ought not be touched yet when scu
