Don’t waste your money

These are all very generic recipes. If you were looking for those amazing dishes on the show you will be disappointed.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, generic breakfast and desserts. I was extremely disappointed.

When I eat in restaurants, I try to order something that is unique or that I would have difficulty making at home. In this cookbook, TV host John Catucci shares restaurant recipes from dining establishments across Canada. I tried baking the famous Pagliacci's focaccia from Victoria, BC, and had hilarious results because the resulting flatbread-like creation was nothing like the bread in the restaurant. Most of the recipes seem like dishes that I would specifically order when I'm out dining because of their complexity and long list of ingredients. The only thing that I liked about this cookbook was the descriptions of the restaurants in each province or territory.

this is a great reference book if you love eating good food. The book is broken down into regions which makes for better referencing to find a place when you are on vacation or just wanting to try something different locally. The book is based on the earlier restaurants that John Catucci was at during the first season of the show. Suggestion if you get the book - check online to see if any of the places have closed - one we went to in Bolton Ontario has since closed.
