Continued from book 1

I had a very hard time getting into the main part of the book. About half way through the plot started really coming together and it wasn't a chore to keep reading. The 1st book in this series I read quickly. This book took several days until I got about halfway into the story. History and real-life narratives had always blended in Graham's imagination, particularly when she delved into the stories of her family's ancestors. Eventually the engaging voices of characters who might have lived emerged. Tracing paper trails quickly gave way to creating her own stories, and she hasn't looked back since.
