I think it's a me thing, because the book isn't terrible. I'm just not in the mood to slog through yet another read where the male is all-knowing and sexually experienced, while the female is naive and floundering, and has been celibate for a long time because some douche canoe broke her heart. Just not my jam tonight, people.

This story has a Bear Shifting Deputy Sheriff Heroine and a Lion Rock Star Hero that catch each other's sight and smell at a concert. For him the connection is strong and immediate, she seems to be able to fight it easily. The sex is good, but the rest of the story is kind of boring. There was no one situation that stuck out as the climatic turning point, it was all rather flat. The set up for the next book took up a lot of time also. It was a decent mediocre story, but nothing to write home abo ...more

Recommends it for: Erotic Paranormal Romance Lovers
Hysterically Funny & Sexually Delicious!

This is one of the most humorous, hottest, and brilliantly written paranormal romance novella's I have ever read.  Danica Avet's writing is smooth with visionary scenes that capture your laughter button and will have you in tears from laughing so hard out loud.

The story's creativity of a Metal Rock lead singer (Ram Reinhardt - Lion Shifter) and his journey dealing with the same ole same ole routine dealing with fame, the media, and the e

Primal Song is a sweet story of shifter romance via the trope of "mating frenzy". Shifter lore allows the love at first sight (or scent) idea to seem credible, and it legitimizes lots of steamy romance scenes.

Deputy sheriff Daisy Picou, a bear shifter, is working security at a County Fair when she sees lion shifter Ram Reinhardt performing with the popular rock band, Saber. Although she is immediately and intensely attracted to Ram, Daisy resists that attraction mightily. She already ha

Primal Song was an ok read! It did not stand out or impress me. I would have liked to learn more about the other band members (maybe in the other books in the series) and I never felt that connection to the world or characters that I always look for, but we do get some good banter between the main characters, some hot sex, and a world where shifters and humans co-exist peacefully.

Deputy Daisy Picou bear shifter with a tough veneer hides a heart that wants to love. She had a bad experience with

Fun

What a fun read. Great characters, believable situations and loads of hot, hot, hot. A strong willed woman and even stronger willed , somewhat patient, sexy alpha.

Loved this book!

There wasn't anything I did about this story. The characters were well rounded and supported by the other players. I just fell into the story heart first!

Having not ventured too far off the basic wolf shifter path in a paranormal adventure, Primal Song definitely piqued my interest when I read it was between a lion and a bear. My inner geek of course had to ask “What kind of off spring do a lion and bear create?” “How does this work?” “Is this even possible?” This is, of course, a paranormal romance and the author has full authority to make

This book is not the first in the series Cajun Heat without reason: clever, sexy, funny and ripe with the flavor of Louisiana, Avet has created a world where shifters and humans live, love and usually co-exist peacefully.

Daisy is a bear shifter and the Deputy, single but wanting to find her mate when potential arrives in the form of Ram, lead singer and lion shifter. In fact, all of Ram’s band mates are cat shifters, but it takes the right motivation to make these cats purr. Ram is a bad bet, l

I have found a new author! This book kept me in it til the end. I loved the back and forth with the hero and heroine. Deputy Daisy Picou, a bear shifter is smart, sassy and independent. She’s also been hurt by love before. She wants a mate and cubs just not with a lion shifter. She’s been burned by one before.

Ram, a rockstar lion shifter is not looking for a mate. He watched his dad hurt his mom by bringing more and more women into his pride while growing up. He promises himself, if he ever fin

At 139 pages this one flew by. I wouldn't call it a full length book, it seemed more like a novella, an introductory book into this world. Even then this book being so short, it was smoking HOT!! This is a shifter book, one of those sniff in the air and I know you're my mate books. Did it bother me? Absolutely NOT!

The world building made it seem like shifters were already out in the open. They were everywhere in this book. Just about every type you could think of. Ram is a lion while Daisy is a

I picked this one up because I read somewhere that is was funny in a Shelly Laureston kinda of way. Not really.

I loved that we have a Bear Shifter Heroine with a Lion Rock Star Hero and the sexy bits and secondary characters are fun. However, the internal conflict that drags on and on for the heroine despite no evidence to support in grates. The set up for the next book in the series in cumbersome and honestly I don't like the next hero and the book bait took up too much of this story. Sadly, t

I loved this book. Danica always has me laughing. Sometimes I get very frustrated with the characters..The story is about a bear and lion shifter..The combination really works..She keeps you enthralled throughout the story..The chemistry between the characters is explosive..Her sex scenes get better each time..I highly recommend this book to everyone..I can not wait to read book 2 in the series..

I Love It.... the story was amazingly funny yet in good sense, not forget the sizzling hot scenes in there.

I am wondering about Monk and Kitty's story.. I bet it will be good as well.

I loved the story of Daisy and Ram. It was easy to fall in love with each character and more than easy to see the love the hero and heroine felt for each other.

Danica Avet was born and raised in the wilds of South Louisiana where mosquitoes are big enough to carry off small children and there are only two seasons: hot and hotter. With a BA in History, she figured there were enough fry cooks in the world and decided to try her hand at writing.

Writing is how she gives the voices in her head a way out. They speak to her constantly wanting their stories told
