I really enjoyed this book. The good guys are good guys and are easily loved the bad guys are bad guys. It's an easy read, even though there are a lot of characters to get your head around which seems to be the same with all fantasy books. But some don't make it as easy as this one. I just wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. I might have even sneaked a peak so I could go to bed one night without wondering. A highly enjoyable adventure fantasy for the young and young at heart. Would recommend to those who love a lighter fantasy.

A quick, fun and easily enjoyable read, I love Fiona McIntosh's work! Enjoyed seeing some of the old character's from The Whisperer play a role in this book as well as reading about a new set of great character's. Simple but enjoyable! :)

Was a great read.
Finished it in about 3 hours.
Story was engaging and fun.
This book is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone without confusion
