I read this as part of my professional development at work. I liked it because it gave very specific challenges as it asked you to take inventory of some of your habits and skills. Geared of course to women, The Glass Elevator could be helpful for men to read if only to understand some of the issues women often struggle with.

So helpful! I heard Ora speak at an 85 Broads event last year, and I'm glad I waited to read her book as it was a great refresher course before I jump back into the workforce. Her tips are so practical without being completely obvious (for the most part). I dog-earred pages with tips on listening, setting expectations, and delivering exclusively positive feedback. Glad I have this book as a reference!

This was a great read, although a bit long if you do all the thinking / activities it asks of you - which I highly recommend. I have a list of things from the book I plan to use in my current role, and am sure that I will reference it often throughout my career.
