So far, this is one of the best stories. There are a lot of characters' introduction here. I was delighted to read more about the protagonists.

I knew there would be a love triangle, but I thought I'd dislike the other guy a lot more .... but I like him. I'm still team Kô, but yeah.

Another great volume in the series, I enjoyed it, but at the same time I am upset to have read it this late. I want to fit in as much reading as I can, but I picked the wrong time to read it. School starts tomorrow, which means I'm probably gonna get a lot of homework. *Sobs* But, I will try to read as much as possible, I am so behind on my reading challenge and a good way to catch up is reading mangas and graphic novels. I want to read as many novels I can, I'm behind on so many series like Another great volume in the series, I enjoyed it, but at the same time I am upset to have read it this late. I want to fit in as much reading as I can, but I picked the wrong time to read it. School starts tomorrow, which means I'm probably gonna get a lot of homework. *Sobs* But, I will try to read as much as possible, I am so behind on my reading challenge and a good way to catch up is reading mangas and graphic novels. I want to read as many novels I can, I'm behind on so many series like Throne of Glass, Game of Thrones, and I haven't even read Lady Midnight yet.

Anyway, I am getting off topic, this book was amazing. It's about a girl named Futaba who hated guys. When she was in middle school, all of the guys in her grade was attracted to her, and this caused her to have a difficulty in making friends. The only guy she liked was Kou, the guy who was less manly, shorter than the average guy, and has a gentle voice. Before the two can get close, Kou disappeared and moved away. Now that Futaba is in high school, she decides to change herself so that she can make friends. She decides to eat more, and act aggressive in order to look unattractive to guys and make friends. This works, but the friends she has aren't that great. She doesn't expect to run into her childhood crush, who has changed as much as she has.

I love Futaba's facial reactions to everything. She is hilarious, honest and kind, but I feel bad for her at the same time. Kou is honest, but he hides everything from Futaba and doesn't give that many explanations. Sometimes, he will give Futaba a proper answer, but then they go through many obstacles and go back to having distance between them. This shows that relationships have many obstacles, which makes the chapters fast paced and interesting. As I read more and more, I ship these two more and more.

Futaba and Kou's relationship is very complicated because of their past. Their past selves liked each other, and Kou doesn't want to go to the past. He believes that he has changed, but our past is what shapes the people we are now. I hope he realizes that soon, and I hope that he starts to talk about how he feels about things. I love the side characters, Yuri is amazing, and Murao is awesome.

I hope to read more of this series soon, and I need to finish Carry On! I'll be off to fit as much reading as I can before tomorrow morning!

Futaba meet Kikuchi kun. Kikuchi kun try to approach Futaba. Kou contact with anther girl. Because of third person, Futaba and Kou can’t be a couple. They can almost reach, but they can’t. I’m frustrated with this situation!!

Huh, what is it with the fact that just as something is about to happen between Kou and Futaba that they always get disturbed!

I have to admit I'm still loving this manga, the five of them as a group are quite cute with their friendship. I'm not too sure about the new guy and his interest in Futaba though. I'm still firmly Team Kou, even when he is being an arse.

Surely my favorite manga among the ones I've been reading and this volume is keeping it up, even though it wasn't as exciting as the previous one, so I'd call it a rounded-up 3.5. Still, the scenes with the main couple are totally wort it, any reader would fall in love with the chemistry between Futaba and Kou. It's also a very quick read so much you feel engrossed, you won't regret giving this a try.

If you haven't read the first volume yet, this is the story of Futaba, who meets her first love some years after never getting to fulfill her feelings for him. Now he even goes by another family name so much he's changed, but deep down the kindness from those days shows.

There'll be spoilers for those who haven't read volume 4 from here on, so please do not proceed.

It seems we're in the middle of a love triangle about to turn into a double triangle, which is something I'm not fond of. Honestly, it's not what happened that turned me off, but seeing what seems to be the route the author has picked for the next volumes. In other words, I think my anxiousness may have gotten in the way of my enjoyment.

We continue being introduced to the other guy, who is actually cute. He's interested in Futaba, but we get to see his interest deepen and by the time the volume is over I'd say he's become quite serious about her. I really like him, but at least not enough to hope for him to get Futaba in the end. I'm team Kou. The thing is Kou now has a friend, who we readers assume is a girl though no one really says so, so there we have our double triangle, though the story is clearly not about who'll get the girl (like Parfait Tic or even Hana Yori Dango were).

This volume was prologue to a new part of the story and I hope it continues to be as good as it's been so far. It wasn't that fun but we get many cute scenes between the couple and even more than that. This mangaka does know how to make our hearts flutter, you can bet on that.

Teen angst and fluffy feels

OMG!! I love Ao Haru Ride. I watched the anime before ever reading this series online a few years back. This manga is so good. It’s been awhile since I read this, but it’s definitely one worth re-reading. There are so many subtle things going on that I missed the first time. It’s so angsty in the best possible way. This is new content for me since this takes the characters beyond the anime content and it was amazing!!!
The art is as amazing as always and also the new characters were great in every sense!!! They are growing, choosing their owns paths and finding how they want to be and with whom.
I have become addicted to this manga and I have no shame!
The new plot line seems great and I honestly can't wait to see more!
Give me more Kou please!!

I love this series! I especially loved this volume and how people work through their feelings. Yes this book has angst and romance, but it’s so much more about Futaba and her friends coming into their own as people and I just love that! I love that these kids make mistakes and say the wrong thing and just learn! Such a good series!!!

Just when you think things are going great between our main characters, Kou throws in a monkey wrench. No spoilers but I understand he went through a traumatic experience with grieving and loss and wanting to help others who are in pain is noble but is it noble or easy? I can't wait for the next one!

This series is a perfect example of a manga that I had mixed feelings about in the beginning and then fell in love with. Seriously, I loved this so much that it probably rivaled LOVE SO LIFE. This has officially gone on my to-buy list.
