Have had this book for 7 of the 8 years I have lived and worked in Dundonald, dipping into bits of it for reference from time to time, but thought it was about time to actually read the whole thing, and I'm glad I did. It is a thorough history of the area from prehistoric geological movements through to the planning tensions in the area at the time of publication in the late 1980s. Whilst it is well illustrated throughout, the pictures do not take the place of a detailed written record, indeed a ...more
