Well written short stories are harder to write than most readers give credit. This short horror story, told over the course of one night, four months after an alien invasion has destroyed humanity, is succinct yet rich in detail. An insect-like alien race has invaded Earth, intent on harvesting humans as dinner, and Vrain and a female soldier seek to outrun and outsmart the bugs on a night of a full harvest. The story is creepy and well told.

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review.

For the last four months since the monsters or Danavas had taken over earth, Vrain has been trying to stay alive, avoiding the monsters so they won't eat him. These monsters skin is so thick that the only thing bullets are good for is using them on himself to keep one of those monsters from eating him if they catch him.
