This fantastic M/M book has officially turned my "top 10" book list into a "Fuck yeah 5+ stars" list. I can't keep it to 10 anymore! This one is added because I FUCKING LOVED IT! I did not want it to end. Matt and Kira were the sweetest couple, totally believable and I instantly feel in love with them. The sex scenes were hot without losing the romance and the angst was off-the-charts. The ending had me in tears of joy. There was absolutely nothing I did not like about this book. I have already

Well, hell, I was not expecting the INTENSITY.

When I think of Walker, I think of mild emotional angst in a mostly feel-good story.

And this book was that...until it wasn't.

I love Matt and Kira. Their love felt so raw and real. The feels and heart-wrenching I love yous UNDID me.

I want these MCs happy, but I just read the blurb for book 2, and it looks like more angst is in store for them.

But I make your heart beast funny? You get butterflies when you think of me? Do you think of me
The mystery is pretty obvious, and the plot is predictable, but the romance is slow and nicely built. The staying in the closet versus coming out problem is perfectly depicted too: genuine, not exaggerated, not melodramatized, and the solution is awesome and thrilling.
It wasn't lost on me, that I was now thinking when and not if I told them. Coming out to my workmates was something I'd never dreamed I'd ever do, and there I was considering how they'd take the news, not if I told them, but when.
*J* Too Many Books Too Little Time
This one was a pretty enjoyable read.

Low angst, a bit of suspense.....but the steam was on the fade to black side.

I liked where these two ended so I'm not in a super big hurry to read the next two books. But I'm sure I will some day!

To be honest, about the first 3/4 part of the book, this book is just okay for me. The main narrator (Matthew Elliott, the detective) and his boyfriend (Kira Takeo Franco, half Spanish-half Japanese and a fantastic trainer) are likeable protagonists. They sure grinned/laughed/smiled/blushed/chuckled a lot -- so I assume they have wonderful time together and have lovely conversations (though some of those conversations are not written in details, I just have to trust they

4 stars!

Another awesome series by one of my beloved authors!

Book one of the “Turning point” series is the story of Matt and Kira. Loved both these guys from the first moment they met I felt their chemistry. Both guys were not out about being gay, especially Matt, who was a detective and was scared his team wouldn’t accept him. Kira at least had the support of his parents, but what I like about their relationship was that they were upfront about it. The fact that they kept their relationship on

3.5 Stars...(.5 for the RIDICULOUSLY beautiful "golden boy" on the cover...*swoon*)

This book was sweet, had a tiny bit of action, and played out much as you would expect...predictable, I guess I'd say.

Still, it was really entertaining and a nice, easy read. This would be the PERFECT book for someone who has never read M/M romance but is curious. Lovely, blossoming relationship between Matt &

Enjoyed Sean's interpretation of Matt and Kira, but CAN. NOT. wait for the The Thomas Elkin Series to come out later this year, and thank goodness Sean is narrating that one too.

Nic Walker is an auto-buy author for me. It's a very romantic tale with the 'coup de foudre' that the French rabbit on about all the time right at the beginning of the book, lucky Matt & Frankie. Of course as Matt's deeply in the closet (policeman and all), Frankie (real name Kira) becomes the

Meet Matthew Elliot one of LA’s best narcotics detectives. He’s smart, tough and exceptionally good at his job. He's also a closeted gay man.

Enter Kira Takeo Franco, the new boxing coach at the gym. Matthew can't deny his immediate attraction to the man his fellow cops know as Frankie.

I loved their story in this book! I loved their attraction and sparring sessions. I liked that their love story was not angsty, but sweet. I specially liked that Kira's father turned out

Re-read May 2014

originally read 4th October 2012
Four detectives in narcotics who are very successful at clearing crime rings, bring down a most wanted drugs supplier. Their 'spokesman' Detective Matthew Elliot is gay but none of them know this and he wants to keep it that way until he meets a new fitness instructor ' Frankie ' ( proper name Kira Takeo Franco ) a stunningly beautiful Euro Asian who takes his breath away at first sight. The attraction is mutual and they begin an affair

Matt has been a cop for a decade and in the closet just as long, he is part of the Fab Four a team of cops in narcotics.
He is afraid of losing his job and friends if he comes out, but when he meets Kira ' Frankie ' his gym's new boxing trainer he can't keep his self imposed rule of keeping private and professional life separate.
Kira is in the closet as well, being a trainer at a cop's gym doesn't lend itself to being out and proud.
Their relationship develops quickly but it doesn't feel rushed

Well written and tightly paced romance with a very appealing couple. Matthew is a top LA detective who keeps his preference for men under wraps. He meets new trainer Frankie (Kira) at the work gym and sparks fly.
There's great chemistry between Matt and Kira and the growth of their relationship is believable. Matt is part of a top team of narcotics detectives and their camaraderie is a big theme in the book. The tension in the story comes from a sadistic crime boss who has organised some nasty

Loved it enough that I turned around and read it second time. Matt's great, but Kira is badass.

5 stars - What a great read!!!

It's definitly no secret that I'm a total sucker for hot police men in my m/m romance stories and Point of No Return kept popping up in my recommendations. I was however a little relucant to read this book because of the author - which was quite unfair as I have to admit by now. Blind Faith by N.R. Walker was one of the first m/m romance stories I read and while I rated it with three stars, I wasn't really into it.

But wow - Point of No Return was fabulous! There

This is a smooth, fast-reading take on the closeted cop coming out in a crisis. Matthew is a prominent member of a detective team; Kira is a trainer in the gym frequented by the officers, and both are initially in the closet. The characters are well done, particularly Kira's parents. The build of emotion is believable, and there are some nice tender moments. The climax is unexpected in its details, avoiding the usual cliche of officer-in-danger. Some of the details felt like a bit of a stretch. ...more

This was exactly what I wanted to read tonight. Matt is a narcotics cop and Kira is a trainer at the gym the cops go to work out. It's lust at first sight when they meet and because of their jobs they're both in the closet and decide to see each other on the down low.

This was just a lovely, sweet romance as Matt and Kira build their relationship. I liked these men and I liked how their story played out. They're very well suited to each other and there were a few bumps in the road along the
Hot cop + N.R. Walker + the inspiration for Kira is Marlon Tiexiera = no-brainer must read!

This was a quick read with a lovely romance/(light) mystery. The MC's are closeted LAPD cop Matt and fitness trainer Kira, who is in the closet as far as work goes, and works at a gym where Matt and many of the cops he works with are members. The attraction between the two is instant and after a night of drinks with his co-workers, Matt lets slip to Kira that he is interested but closeted. Since they are

N.R. Walker is a sure thing for me. Seriously, I’ve read almost ALL her books and I don’t think I’ve given one less than 5 stars! I adore her characters, her storylines, her writing style. I pretty much just adore her. And I will read anything she writes.

Thank you to Cat for picking this book for me. I loved Matt and Kira. I loved how insanely attracted to each other they were. I’m not usually a fan of relationships moving so fast, but it just felt right with them. Can’t wait to read the next

! I loved everything about this book! Matt and Kira were so fucking sweet! Both were closeted manly-men so there was a little bit of angst over the "coming-out" issues; but nothing too heavy. Also, there was a little action/mystery storyline that was a bit too predictable and lead to a very traumatic scene near the end that had me biting my nails and screaming at my Kindle!

Overall, this was a sweet, sexy romance.

5 stars from me because I totally cried my eyes out in the end.

Matthew Elliot is closeted at work and at home. Unofficially the face of his fab-four narcotics team he spends his time afraid anyone will discover his deepest secret.

Kira "Frankie" Franco is the new instructor at the cop gym down the block. Matt takes one look at Kira and knows he's in trouble. Kira realizing Matt is closeted gives him the perfect out - even though Kira is out in his personal life, he has made sure to keep his private life complete private after starting work at the gym. So

Loved this - the story of Matt & Kira. Matt was the golden boy cop who loved his friends and partner but he kept his secret thinking he wouldn't be accepted. Then Matt meets Kira in the boxing ring at gym and his world fell apart ! After coming out of the closet, Matt realized Kira was the one for him and during a hostage siege decided to man up and tell his team. From fear and pain came a sense of peace but only on the surface. Matt clearly had unresolved issues and I can't wait for more in ...more

So I’m starting to think that Wendy has a great idea! Doing a TBR cleanup and getting to books that you’ve been putting off for heaven knows how long. Wendy! Your brilliant idea brought me this one!

It’s official and we all know it. NR Walker is GOOD. Couple that “GOOD” with the “GOOD” that Sean Crisden brings to this audio and we have......

Add in one hunky detective. (Secretly I think he could be a Hemsworth brother) and the pantie
I am so lucky that N.R. Walker is such a prolific writer.

It gives me lots of great stories to enjoy in my free time. And that's what she writes, great stories.

This one had a beautiful romance as well as an edge-of-your-seat police procedural. With a superb cast of secondary characters, this plot is well rounded. The first half of the book focuses on the developing romance. Just when I thought this would be a character driven romance, I hit the 50% mark and enjoyed a thrilling, heart-stopping

Another lovely book from N.R.Walker!

Matt is a LA cop and Kira his boxing instructor. They fell in love, but they are both closet cases. They develop a beautiful relationship and are so good together!

There is some mystery, not very difficult to figure out, and the plot is very interesting!

So, we have a lovely, sweet and beautiful story! Loved it and I'm glad that I can read more of Matt and Kira! And here I go to Breaking Point

Sean Crisden, who I generally love, did a great job with this one IMHO. I remember liking the story and his narration pushed the rating up just a bit - especially how he performed those sex scenes and the drama he brought out in the tense, dramatic ones. Definitely going to listen to the next one...

I will so be getting NR's other books...
I LOVED this so freaking much! Definitely one of the best m/m books I've read recently. Couldn't put it down. Even for a moment.

A drop-dead gorgeous cop, a sexy boxing coach, hot sex scenes AND a lot of romance. What's there not to love? Not enough for you? How about a great plot, bad guys and an explosive and brilliant ending? Definitely not a book one can easily forget.

I do hope we'll get to see more of this couple. I loved these guys so damn much!

This book is an absolute MUST READ for
