Ovoga književnika ili voliš, ili ne voliš. Ja spadam u one koji ga vole. Ima taj neki zanimljiv stil pisanja, okolišanje koje traje da bi onda iznenada udario in medias res. Filipu se događa brat za kojega nije ni znao, što razotkriva stanje podvojenosti identiteta i kod njega i kod brata, a također i ruši neke Filipove iluzije o obitelji, djetinjstvu pa na kraju i o samome sebi, svrstavši se na krivu stranu bestijalnosti onda kada je imao priliku biti na onoj pravoj humanoj.. Комплименти на изд. „Панорама“ за красивото издание, на Капка Кънева за корицата, както и на Рада Шараланджиева за превода. Макар „Гьоц и Майер“ да остава magnum opus-a на автора според мен, тази творба е пълнокръвно и цветно четиво, което печели уважение с общочовешката тематика, която подхваща.

Interesting... This book has a quite special writing-style and also a special story. My thoughts went from "WTF" to "hehe, great" to "OMG!" to "WTF". If you like something "different", consider this a recommendation ;)

This is the second novel by David Albahari I've read, and I'm still not entirely sure whether or not I like his writing. I'll give it another chance...

David Albahari (born 1948 in Peć, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian writer of Jewish origin from Kosovo, residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Albahari writes mainly novels and short stories.
