Pretty much self explanatory in the title. A handful of short stories that touch on the more futuristic side of medicine. Apparently, this author has a fascination with transplanting heads and spines onto new bodies, as 2 of the stories deal with this premise and also have the same surprise ending. I found the stories possible in the future, but a stretch to believe they're on the verge of occurring.
One of the other things I didn't care for was the author's limited list of names for characters, as some names repeat, even in consecutive stories, so I got one impression of a character with a name, then the name appears in the next story but the character is completely independent of the character by that name from the earlier story.
OK for a quick read, and it was free, but definitely not something I'd pay for.
