These short stories were written to explore some of the ethical issues medical advancements will bring forth. The scenarios are within the realm of possibilities for the not so distant future. The technological advancements will be significant steps but they bring to bear the law of unintended consequences. These works are published together for the first time.
Pretty much self explanatory in the title. A handful of short stories that touch on the more futuristic side of medicine. Apparently, this author has a fascination with transplanting heads and spines onto new bodies, as 2 of the stories deal with this premise and also have the same surprise ending. I found the stories possible in the future, but a stretch to believe they're on the verge of occurring. One of the other things I didn't care for was the author's limited list of names for characters, as some names repeat, even in consecutive stories, so I got one impression of a character with a name, then the name appears in the next story but the character is completely independent of the character by that name from the earlier story. OK for a quick read, and it was free, but definitely not something I'd pay for.
