Why in the world would a slow person—a turtle person—need to read a book like this?

Well I don’t know exactly. For one thing it was on my shelf. For another I had never read it.

It is rather dated. And yet the philosophy is mostly sound. It’s full of suggestions for taking hold of your life and LIVING it rather than just getting through it. This book was exactly what I needed. It wants to tell you the stories of other people. It really inspired me to take a few moments in the day to look around and absorb what was going on around me. Instead of gluing myself to a phone, a game, a book, or just the interior of the vehicle as I am carried toward whatever errand or responsibility, I look outside at what we're passing. Very inspiring. Makes you think about smelling the roses and having more patience in this all to busy world. This book has something for everyone. Everyone should read it.
