Living Canvas by Karla Brandenburg is a contemporary romance novel with a paranormal element. Audrey MacDougall is a women with a sensitive intuition. She is dealing with the loss of her parents, her best friend getting married, her company going through a transition, and more. What else could go wrong? Oh, yeah. Cinda cancels at the last minute on their trip to Scotland, and Audrey's former boyfriend is having a baby.

I received this book for free from the goodreads firstreads giveaway. I loved this book. It is the perfect blend of romance and mystery, not too much or too little of either. I was a little apprehensive about the plot involving the painting itself, but having finished the book I can't imagine how the author could have written the story without it. This is one I will read again and again, I would recommend it to everyone.

Romantic, Thrilling and Mysterious

Audrey MacDougall's special gift enables her to sense moods and vibes connected with people and places, but it doesn't explain how she is pulled out of the real world and into the painting that arrives anonymously by courier.
When she meets Greg Ellison while on vacation in Scotland he gives off a vibe like a warm cloud. They discover they live in the same part of Chicago, and agree to meet again soon.
