At 500+ pages, this is an exhaustive/exhausting overview. Unfortunately, it suffers from a confusing arrangement—all shells are sorted by distribution (where in the world) and habitat (what particular ocean environment/depth), rather than by taxonomy (sorted by type of shell).

Useful and informative, but not a regular go-to.
