Have you read this bit of Awesomeness yet? The Vampire Hunter's Daughter series is a MUST read!! It's entertaining, addicting, & does not disappoint!! Not that I thought it would! :) This was the 1st book I ever read involving vampire hunters (or hunters of any kind). Since I love the show Supernatural I decided to give it a try by downloading the free ebook of Volume 1....boy am I glad I did! It quickly became my addiction, & I read all of them one after another! You are so very lucky, because ...more

DNF at page 57 out of 460.

I don't want to be mean or anything but I have honestly read better writing at fan fiction websites than this book. I mean I'm a huge fan of anything that is a vampire or a vampire hunter, but seriously how can you royally mess this up from the 1st novella. The start of the 2nd one was ehh and then you bring more supernatural!! I swear I just remember The Mortal Instruments with the reference to Angels and God.!!!

I know some will say to continue on with the rest since

Very interesting and exciting

This is a great YA fantasy novel. The story starts with Chleo at 14 losing her mother when her father's minions found them. What I don't understand is what her mom was thinking by not living in a hunter community. At any rate, Chloe goes off to live with her grandfather who is totally awesome. It is a bit strange that Drew lives with him instead of his family but it sounds like his family is really messed up. There is some love triangle bits but it doesn't last very

If you enjoyed Buffy, the Vampire Diaries or even (heaven forbid!!) Twilight, then you enjoy this book.

It starts with a bang, introducing the reader to Chloe's life as a Dhampir, a half human/half vampire. Until her Mother's death, Chloe just thought she was a normal teenager, not the result of her Mother's seduction by a bloodsucking vampire!

Add in the fact that her Mother was a fearless Vampire Hunter & you have the makings of an enjoyable YA book.

The narrator did a great job depicting the an

After murdering her mother in front of her, vampires try to kidnap Chloe, but a group of vampire hunters arrives just in time to save her. Then comes the unbelievable truth, her mother was also a hunter and the vampires who killed her were actually sent by her father. Chloe is determined to avenge her mother's death and tries to learn as much as she can from her family so she can be ready when the time comes.
The book is set in 6 short parts and overall is still quite short but fast moving. You w

Bad fan fiction

The vampire hunters daughter had a great description and was free so I tried it. The story is a mishmash of young adult romance and every popular vampire book of the last 10 years. There is a love triangle, a war, and quite frankly nothing original. The main character was not interesting in the least. Don't waste your time.

After watching her mother brutally killed before her by creatures she never believed existed, Chloe Kallistrate is sent to live with her grandfather in a community of people who live to destroy those like the monsters who murdered her mother: vampires. Sent by her father to capture her for unknown purposes, they continue to bombard the community with vicious attacks while Chloe trains and learns to accept her heritage as a vampire hunter. But being half hunter and half the creature she lives to ...more

The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter had me at the title.

I’m glad I happened to see this on a blog tour recently; it’s a very enjoyable read. The cover, blurb and catchy title drew me in. It has one of the best opening scenes I’ve read in a long time and is among my favourite YA books of the year.

Chloe Kallistrate gets the shock of her life when her mother wakes her up in the middle of the night and urges her to hide in the closet. Invaders breach their home, and Chloe’s life is turned upside down. She

A review copy was provided for an honest review. This collection is short, simple, and fast-paced. This book will break up that reading slump you've been in! The Vampire Hunter's Daughter is full of vampires. But there is only one in which Chloe Kallistrate is interested in killing, and that's her vampiric father. Sent on behalf of her father, his minions murder Chloe's mother and Chloe vows to avenge her no matter what. She is extremely young at just the age of 14 she is thrust into a world mor ...more

I read this in preparation for a book Blog Tour that covers what happens after these volumes! And after reading these i am looking forward to reading it!

This is the first of Ms Malone Wright's that i have read, and i really did enjoy them! Not too heavy, good story lines and great writing

The first few volumes were a history of and meeting Chloe, who is The Vampire Hunter's Daughter. They were short enough to fill most blanks and fun enough to read, concentrating on just one main storyline in the

The nice thing about this collection of books is that each segment is short and written in a simple style and well-paced, making it easy to keep up with. The brevity of the books also makes for a quick and relaxing read. Chloe is a tough girl. She has to grow up fast, after all. She has much to catch up on as a vampire hunter, and she has to learn it fast to defend herself against the vampires coming after her. Inside, however, she is also a vulnerable girl who has just lost her mother but isn't ...more

We start with Part I: this is an introduction to Chloe. A girl who watches vampires murder her mother in front of her and learns she has a grandpa and he’s a vampire hunter. She also learns the truth about her father. And she meets drew.

Part II: this is Chloe’s continuation of learning about her hunter heritage and what vampires are. She is training with Drew, has a school fight-which is both awesome and hilarious- and sees her first vampire/hunter kill. It scared the snot out of her. Chloe is g

TVHD is a wonderful read. Thank you to Parajunkee for allowing me to be on this tour. I had heard of this series but I never had time to read it. So when I saw it was on tour I jumped at the chance to finally get to read it and boy oh boy you don't know what you are missing! This story had so many twists and turns and secrets and lies and things that were kept hidden that it kept me at the edge of my seat. After reading each part of the story it plain to see that Chloe was going to have to grow ...more

I am do glad I came upon this series, while looking through books in Amazon. I had not read many vampire hunter books for awhile, and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I bought the books one through six. Each book is a short story, and this way the story just continues. There is lots of excitement from page one when her mother tries to hide her from vampires. It just kept flowing, like a well oiled machine. She meets an entire community of vampire hunters, and her grandfather. There is ...more

I...did not like this book, and find myself utterly perplexed by the large number of 5 star reviews. First - this 200 page "book" is actually a 6 part novella. Don't go into it expecting a 6 book series. There are, of course, other books in the series (called Arcadia Falls) but you have to buy them separately. Beyond that, the characters suffer from a serious lack of depth, as does the rest of the story. The premise itself is actually really interesting, but it ends up falling flat. Very, very f ...more

I read the kindle edition, but couldn't find it on here. This is a review for the whole series.

I read the first one ages ago and really enjoyed it. Then I got around to buying the kindle edition of this one, so I re-read #1 and finished the whole book. I like that she broke it up into short stories, which isn't something a lot of authors would do. I, for one, love short stories (I write them too). As a whole, this is a great novel. It was easy to read and was quick to finish. It has enough actio

It was a great story! It had everything I look for in a Vampire story. Good as a YA story. Chloe believes she is an average teenager until one night everything changes and she finds out she's not. She doesn't like what her future holds for her, but she has no choice. She finds out she's a vampire hunter with powers like no other. She has is attracted to 2 young boys who both would do anything for her. Chloe has a war with Vampires to fight with the help of a vampire hunters in Arcadia Falls. Boo ...more

This story is about Chloe who never really knew who she was till she watched her mother get murdered right before her eyes, she then meets her grandfather that she never knew she had. He explains to her that is a vampire hunter and that her mother was the best there was. She also learns that she is half vampire and her father is after her. This was a great read. You get sucked into the story right away and feel sorry for Chloe. What happens to her and all the secrets that are reveal she takes pretty well considering everything. You can tell right away that she is attracted to one of the hunters who comes to rescue her. There relationship just continues to build from there. This story is full of lots of action, hunters, and vampires. I cant wait to see where the story goes from here. The first novella is always free, you could down ...more

This series had me hooked from book one ( it was a free download on amazon).
I loved part 1 so much so that I stumbled across the whole series in one , I took a chance and I had to get it. I was not at all disappointed with each book as they were increasingly addictive. I found these books very very hard to put down,so much so I read them all one after the other in one sitting. I can't wait for any further installments if this series.

I'm glad I read this series!!! It was a little short for my tastes but apart from that I thought it was absolutely wonderful. It goes like this...Chloe's mother is murdered by her father's goons and she soon discovers that vampires do exist . Her father is a vampire and her mother had been one of the best hunters. Now Living within a community of hunters Chloe starts her training to learn how to kill her father!! OOOH doesn't it sound exciting?? Well it is so go and read it!!

I read this series as a collection and felt that all the parts fit perfectly together, no gaps or lags to where you a little lost at the start of each section. The flow was perfect moving along at a great pace to the point where I found I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen to Chloe next.

Definitely a great addition to your to be read list!
