I bought this book several years ago and it was too advanced for me to get much out of at the time, I set it aside and dismissed it. Picking it up again now I am finding Takagi's discourse eminently followable and his points cogent.

The title is misleading -- this book is all about forcing moves. Takagi's advice could be summed up as "don't make forcing moves just because you can; make forcing moves when you can use them to gain some benefit in a situation". This message is reinforced with plenty
