I love flash/micro fictions and short stories. Tansy is the (Dark) Mistress of FF! If you've ever wondered how small town farmers might "bargain" their way out of a drought, or what happens when you get too many vampires in one barn, then this is the book for you! Seriously, you can read one story at a sitting, or binge read all 13 at once! You won't be disappointed!

Great collection of almost micro stories (2-3 pages each) all with a twist. Tansy has a vivid imagination, a gift for using precise and colorful wording and the talent to put just the right twist at the end. Loved IT

Loved it - the juxtaposition of small town America and classic horror elements felt so natural in this collection that it creeped the hell out of me. I grew up in small town America, it is way too easy to imagine! :)

Short fiction is hard to get right in my opinion. These stories are clever, well narrated and have great pace. (Also, perfect for reading in October when the nights are drawing in).

Only one complaint..

My one complaint is that I want more! Each little story was so compelling that I wanted to see it fleshed out into a book of its own.
It reminded me of HP Lovecraft, just as dark and sinister, and always leaving me wanting more.
