A brief history of New Jewish Agenda, a major US progressive Jewish organization active in the 1980s that has fallen into near obscurity. The main text of the book is a fairly straightforward chronological account of the NJA's founding, its main campaigns, and its internal and external issues. This is followed by three interpretive essays.

Hopefully this won't be the last word on New Jewish Agenda's history - not because of any shortcomings, but because Agenda's history was far richer than a short overview can provide.
