This book has one lousy part, it ENDS:-( Can't wait for the next book. You know a book is good when it grabs you from the start and you have to check in everyday to find out what is happening. I am so glad I didn't pass this one by. I found myself picking it up to read at times when I normally don't read because I wanted to be back in the book. Hope the next part comes out soon, I will be first in line. ...more

I Hope You Find Me is a post-apocalyptic scenario. I love apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic books, and this one did not disappoint. Riley, the heroine, finds herself the only survivor in her family after a fast-acting virus claims all their lives. She moves from place to place, and in her wake she leaves notes, all ending in the same phrase - ‘I hope you find me’.

I won’t tell you any more plot lines, because this is a story you should be reading by yourselves. It is full of emotion, so don’t forg

This post-apocalyptic novel is a wonderful mix of romance, thriller, paranormal, with a dash of horror. It was an enjoyable easy read, a definite page turner. I had a hard time putting it down. The story was original and well developed. The descriptive language was wonderful except at times when it became a little heavy and the abundance of words got in the way of the actual story. For example, there were moments of great suspense where I was on the edge of my seat and in my excitement, I was te ...more

“I Hope You Find Me” is set in San Diego, where a viral pandemic has decimated the world’s population in a flash, leaving Riley alone with her dog Zoey to search for friends and family who, like herself, have survived. What she finds leads her on a journey she never expected.

This story flows. Admittedly, not my genre of choice, but I was captured from the very beginning. There is just enough backstory to keep you going without being an information dump, yet it still leaves questions that you wan

I loved this book! From the moment I started it, I did not want to put it down which is amazing because it is not the usual type of book I read. It was very well written I must say. This book brought out many emotions in me as I read about the different characters and their loss. There is so much grief and pain that at times you get lost in it and your heart literally hurts for the characters. You could feel Riley's pain when she would think about the loss of her two children and how it tormente ...more

A very enjoyable read that was full of suspense, romance, and new beginnings.

I always find myself losing the hours when there is a good apocolyspe story and this one ranked up there...

So, I found this book awesome but...I went ahead and read the synopsis and reviews for the next books in the series and think it's best that I stay away from them since the feedback brings in love triangles and more that normally turns me off from reading a book. So, I'll just take the ending of Ri

As a mega fan of The Walking Dead TV show, this book called out to me when I read the synopsis. Although this book does not have walkers, it does have that element of survival in a world that has collapsed.
My personal opinion is that Dawson knows how to write. She knows how to set a character up to where you either love them or completely despise them and then she can make you switch those feelings in just a paragraph. Her plot is purely excellent and how she can set up suspenseful events was am

A different kind of zombie tale is found in I hope you find me. A plague has overtaken humanity and this is the story of a few that were immune to the virus that killed the majority of the world. We find Riley as she sits amidst the smoke of what is left of her family. It is a very sad moment in her life and we get the honor of being there with her. When she finally leaves her home, she writes a note for anyone who may be looking for her. She has no clear plan but each place she stops at she wr ...more

When a global pandemic ravages the planet leaving only a handful of survivors the odds look like they are stacked against Riley who has lost everyone she loves. The scenes where she recounts cremating the bodies of her children and grading class paper for her 3rd Grade students who will never see the marks they received are heartbreaking and moving.
Reminiscent of Stephen King's The Stand and Under The Dome this is a book which keeps you turning the pages from start to finish.

I Hope You Find Me turned out to be really good. Its not the kind of book I would read but that doesn't take away from the quality of the book. Trish has a great talent for description, there wasn't one point in the book that I couldn't picture in my head. Plus, there are a lot of unanswered questions that give the need to come back and learn the outcome of those ends. Though some points seemed droll everything was a subtle set up for the action at the end. A clever chess play of not letting the ...more

Absolutely loved it!!!! What a fantastic read. I'm a Walking Dead fan, but when I started reading Trish's post-apocalyptic setting, I was concerned it would be too dark for me. Boy was I wrong! There was just enough darkness to make you feel for these people, to secretly encourage them to keep going and not give up. But what you had more than anything were some great characters, great storyline, great plot that flowed flawlessly and wonderfully. The storyline moved so well, never a dull moment. ...more

I discovered this author on Twitter, and although post apocalyptic scenarios are not usually my thing, I decided to give this book a go, and I'm very glad I did! This fast paced thriller had me hooked from the start. I enjoyed the romance that blossomed between Riley and Connor, it was an interesting twist on the normal romance. Well written with interesting characters and an unpredictable ending, I look forward to reading the next instalment, and in the meantime will be acquiring some more ma

Loved the book.

Yes, it was bit choppy in places and could use more development. But Wow! From the time I started to the last page and well beyond I was enthralled!

Will definitely be looking for more from this series!

This book was fun to read, even though there were many points in the plot that were not true to life. Yes, I realize the book was pure fiction about an apocalyptic world where very few people survived a killer virus, but some things that happened just did not ring true. I liked the Conner and Fin, two of the main characters, who were very interesting and likeable. The bad guy, Matt, was not well-enough developed as a character.

The hell did I just read?
Two weeks ago I thought Insurgent was the worst book I've read this year, but this one manages to top it and makes me miss Roth's rambles.
The story is that most of life on Earth has been wiped out by a mysterious flu-like virus. Riley, the protagonist, somehow survives it, along with her annoying dog Zoey that does nothing all book except bark and shit and demand rubs. Which is fine just that she's mentioned every second paragraph, making you think that maybe she's the
I really liked this book at the beginning but it started to digress near the end. The imagery for the ghosts were disturbingly creepy and extremely well done. Though, they seemed randomly thrown in and the characters didn't seem overly concerned with them considering they seemed to be somewhat aggressive. Furthermore, the romance between Connor and Riley at the beginning of the book was enjoyable.
On the other hand I have some major qualms with this book. Riley made some very poor decisions at th

I am SQUEEEEEing (is that a word?? If not, it is now!) with joy over how much I L-O-V-E-D this read! I have read the The Station books by Trish but kept going back and forth over reading I HOPE YOU FIND ME. I would read the description, then read some of the reviews the think nah, I don't think I would enjoy this one at all. “I Hope You Find Me” by Trish Marie Dawson is an awesome book with paranormal, suspense and thriller all in one. It is definitely different from any of the books I have ever read. This book makes you think of what happens in an apocalyptic disaster.

Riley is a beautiful woman, who was a mom and a wife, who just lost her children and her ex husband from a viral disease that spread rapidly through her hometown. She suspects that all of her family and friends are dead too. Riley and her dog, Zoey ar

Wow, amazing, must read ~ they all sum up this book in a few words. Once I started I knew I wouldn’t be getting much rest until I finished reading because I just had to know where it was all leading.

The world as we know it is over and only a few people have survived. Riley has watched everyone around her die, and must get away from all the memories closing in on her. Going downtown, and leaving messages where she goes, she comes across Con

This story is about a woman named Riley who has endured an apocalypse. With everyone dead Riley takes off and ends up meeting Connor. You follow them through an action packed story line of meeting new people and even a few crazies! I loved the story and the different characters, however I found a few things distracting (the amount of songs played in such detail, Riley trying to get with every man, and lastly the whole 'I didn't forget the safety' line from the movie Scream).
Overall this is a fan

Riley survives, she doesn't know how or why, but she survives the Red Death. The rest of the world has been wiped out by plague, her two children, her ex-husband. She and Zoey, her faithful dog, set out for the city when they run out of water, though Riley doesn't actually know what she plans to do. What she does know is that before the phones went out, she called everyone she knew and told them that if they made it to her house that she'd leave them a trail. She leaves notes e

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book considering I left my YA safe zone to venture into this book. I can honestly say that sometimes I was really freaked out in this book. I was 100% sure that zombies were going to make an appearance, until they didn't lol. I Hope You Find Me defiantly touched on an array of emotions for me such as sadness, anger, happiness and like I mentioned before fear. I found it to be an easy read because th ...more

Wow, this was not a book for me. I wanted to give it 2 stars but I just couldn’t. I skimmed a lot of the second half just to finish it and don’t feel like I missed much.

Riley survives the virus that wipes out the majority of the population. She starts out likeable but ends up being annoying by the end. It seems every man she crosses path with her is in love with her. She just happens to cross path with a gorgeous man and he happens to be in hotel with electricity. It seemed unrealistic and I tho

I Hope You Find Me starts out sad. The world isn't what it used to be. A virus has taken over and wiped out most of the worlds population. Now, I know what you're thinking... Zombie apocalypse! That's certainly what was going through my mind. However, there are no zombies in I Hope You Find Me.
I was pleasantly surprised by this paranormal romance story. It has all the great things we love about an apocalypse story but with twists that had me hooked.

It was always interesting, well written, and amazing storytelling; far better than anticipated. Moves well, wonderful development in meaningful relationships and conflict. Balanced environmental issues vs sub-plots. Does not bog down in what others might and Dawson created a strong prime pair who focus is on survival and each other but not at cost of compassion or the good of the many. Interesting how well the dog adds to the movement and story. One of my top 10 favorites so far in 2013. I highl ...more
