This is a good read. I have no idea if the details, procedures and activities of Joe and his friends are accurate or those regarding the Iranian forces, but the author is ex-CIA and everything reads perfectly believably and really that's all that matters for a piece of escapist fiction. Although this is perhaps a touch more than pure escapism as the afterword warnings and observations are worth noting.
The only cavil I have is that Saeed and Joe have it a little too easy in their escape plan. Not

This book was a great read! That corner of the world is so interesting and the story held my attention from the first page thru to the last. Keller is a wonderful story teller and I am hoping for a sequel...

Really enjoyed learning more about Iran. There are parts of this book that are crazy good, almost old-school Clancy good. It's a good one...

Art Keller is a former CIA case officer in the Counter-Proliferation Division, the part of the CIA charged with spying on and sabotaging Iran’s nuclear program. He's done commentary for CNN, CBS, The News Hour on PBS, Newsmax Magazine, and the National Geographic Channel.
