This was the textbook for my college Swimming class, and it helped me prepare to coach the Yosemite Rapids that summer. Now I'm dusting it off and doing some swimming again.

I want to do a traditional swim-bike-run triathlon this summer. Alas, I had never really learned how to swim. Oh sure, I faked my way through the Navy swim test well enough and I'm not afraid of the water, but I did not actually know how to perform any strokes correctly. So I gave this book a try and it was a big help. My freestyle, breast stroke, and back stroke are coming along nicely (my butterfly stroke is still a fabulous disaster, but that's not the fault of the book). The drills and workouts have been incredibly helpful. I'm no longer worried about the swim event being my weakest event. Bring on the triathlon!
