The general idea of this book is that there are 365 pages and every day you do what the page tells you. It can vary from changing your name to declaring war on a country to breaking someone out of prison. They're not kidding that this book could change your life (whether for good or for worse remains to be seen).
I read this book as a joke, of course. I read it for a laugh, and a laugh it delivered. Most of the pages were hilarious and I couldn't even imagine doing these things for myself. The way the writers wrote the book made it 10x more hilarious than if they had written it straight up boring writing. They wrote like they expected the person reading the book to actually follow their directions. As if I would move to New Zealand in one day.
As funny as I found this book, I did have some problems with it. Some of the pages have extremely tiny writing to the point where I thought I'd need a magnifying glass. This wasn't for comedic affect, this was simply how they put the page together, and trying to decipher what was on the page wasn't any fun. Another issue I had was that it ended up being a pain to read at the end. The novelty wore off and the pages seemed written the same with different challenges.
I recommend this book to anybody who wants a laugh, not for taking this thing seriously.
Random, weird, amusing. Every day in my life is already "slapstick day," so I can check that one off the list. Perhaps someday I shall make a shrine to someone I barely know and eagerly present it to them. Or invent my own traffic rule, such as turning left every time I see a green car.
