Quick and easy guide.

Every author must read this book to understand each step of KDP publishing. This book is useful, particularly, in formating.

This is a companion volume and you do need the other one which is all about the technicality of getting it on the Web. However this short guide deals with the writing process, explaining which programs to use (Word is favoured, and I recommend the newest version you can get) and not to use tabs or two returns but to use other ways of formatting your paragraphs, available in Word and with illustrations from the latest version of Word. This means that the book will appear properly on Kindle and on

"Building Your Book for Kindle", written and freely provided by the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) people, is an excellent step-by-step guide to the world of self-publishing for Kindle. I've downloaded several dozen similar books, and read at least parts of all of them, but this one stands out head and shoulders above the rest.

Following the simple guides included in this booklet, I have now uploaded and published my first official short story for Kindle! Time will tell if the good advice will tr

If you're working with Word, this is probably a helpful guide. If you're not, they pretty much direct you to start over in Word. I used WordPerfect x8 which has PDF publishing as well as MOBI and EPUB functions. The PDF worked well for paperback editions of my book, the MOBI worked well for Kindle, and EPUB worked well for Kobo. However, Barnes & Noble Nook Publishing would not accept my EPUB file. I had to pull my WordPerfect document into Word, clean up all the weird codes (page numbering ...more

I believe this info written as it was should be very useful to newbies.

I believe this Amy be very beneficial but I have yet to try all this out as yet. I am working on an ebook or so as often as I can and as I can figure out how to make that ebook turn out much better, Please don't give up on newbies who have had to start from scratch to get as far as I have been able to precede without any regular helping knowing how hands. I would recommend this for those who have Mac laptops who needs a lot o

Indispensable for this beginning eBook author

I chose 5 stars because of the clarity of the instructions. I would recommend this for any beginning eBook author. What I like most is the fact I can publish an eBook for very little money. Caveat emptor: some website warned me not to go for free ISBN's. (Was that Bowler?) More research needed; also the increased earning and saving of my money!

Be a published author

This is Kindle's own version of steps to publish on their platform. The steps are easy to take but vital to having a correctly formatted book.

I am writing some mom words of wisdom and I'm considering publishing in kindle to make it easy for my kids to grab a copy.

Even if it's only your children who read your book it seems more official and fun to have your book available on Amazon. Have fun kids!

Brief introduction only

If you only use simple design for your book, using the guidelines inside could be enough as the suggested tool here is Microsoft word.
