When she was eight, Allison Starr began spending her summers with her aunt in San Diego. Nearly ten years later she is focused on her last year of high school and which colleges to apply to, not the attractive surfer who keeps showing up at the little corner of beach where she reads.

She has no interest in a romantic relationship, especially one that starts in the summer

Has it really only been a week since I read When Summer Ends? I must have wanted to move on more than I'd thought because in my mind, it seems like I read that book ages ago.

The day after I finished WSE, I thought I'd try out another book with the same subject in order to see if I could do better, so I picked up Teach Me.
Teach me, Coop...teach me how to not love you anymore.

I didn't end up posting a review when I read this because I didn't want to put out into the universe of GR two similar

First things first, Gotta love dual pov books <3 I love knowing how the guy feels about the girl. You can call it cheap thrills but its just utterly romantic when penned down what a guy thinks when he's in love with his girl. Its just to *sigh* perfect! All his thoughts, the love, everything. Just beautiful <3

Hmm, well when reading everyone's reviews I had a very different expectation of this book. I will admit it was a good story, but now is where I agree with those before me that it was definitely lacking in some areas. There really could have been more interaction between them, and while the author seemed to indicate the Ali knew Coops story and all about him, as a reader we knew almost nothing. I think the author really could have spent more time giving us details into the story that would have

Dang, I tried...I really did. When I started this story it kept my interest. The relationship between Coop and Ali was decently developed and the mutual respect they showed one another was lovely. Although, once summer ended and they parted ways, that's where the story fell apart. At least for me.

It felt like the author was writing without an outline. It became choppy and lacked flow as well as having a few editing issues with missing and/or double words. Even though Ms. Steele attempted some

Warning: Major Spoilers!

I was actually disappointed in this book. I wanted more. I feel like I didn't know too much about either of the main characters, Ali or Cooper, especially Cooper, which was odd since it was told in alternating points of view.

Ali notices Cooper (and vice versa) on the beach during her summer with her aunt, suddenly they are dating, within the blink of an eye they are in love. Before you know it there's a mix up and he's her teacher, almost the entire year FLIES. She's

This small part of the beach changed my life, and the girl holding my hand changed my heart...

Allison and Cooper met on the beach at the beginning of the summer. Ali, an almost 18 year old high school senior, was staying for the summer with her Aunt Trudy. Cooper, only 21, is already a college graduate due to some accelerated program in high school/college. They hit it off right away and spend the whole summer together. They fall in love. The summer ends and they vow to stay together

The most upsetting thing about this story is the lack of character development and the quick character relationship. By chapter 4 both MC's had confessed their undying love for one another. There was little to no build of this relationship. It literally went from week 1 of gawking to the initial hello to week 8 and confessing forever love. You get tid bits of what apparently happened within those critical first few weeks later on in the book but it made no sense and I as a reader just didn't ...more

Oh man!! Teach me :) This is another student teacher relationship book and ma I say I loved it.

It was sweet, light and bittersweet book which will keep you holding on to the book till end.
The girl Alli falls in love with cooper and They spend summer together and then BOOM! life throws them in a place where romance is forbidden. He becomes her teacher and she his student.

It talks about the decisions they took an sacrifices they made and in the end to do the right thing.

Their is is sweet, and

First of all I love this book. This book made me cry, hell until now I'm still crying while I'm writing this review. I need a Kleenex... I can say that this book is different among the other books that student-teacher love story. Because in this book Cooper is willing to sacrifice his dream job for the girl that he love. I love the twist in the story. Actually, I thought Allison will going to die

At first it was like a typical romance story...summer love story. For the first 50 pages...I said..'wadda typical', but then as the story goes on I couldn't stop myself from reading it. The last 50 pages was my favourite. I just didn't realize it will be so touching and the emotion is so strong. I got teary-eyed while reading it. I think the title is not only resemble the situation where Cooper is Ali's teacher but also means how life teaches cooper to give an unconditional love to Ali. Im a ...more

Honestly, I thought this book would be about evil cheerleaders, girl swooning over the guy but....... was I ever wrong. I know a lot of you people out there have an opinion so I respect that, here's mine: This book is, although seems like a copy still really good. It actually tells you what is going on, not just what happens at school, I mean those type give you now perspective on the main characters life. I think of her as well, innocent. It seems like she has no voice, all she is, is a ...more

Is Amy Steele a 14 year old high school girl?
I love that Allison is described as "intelligent", yet being insde her head is awfully similar to listening to a 12 year old gush about her crush in primary school. I could not connect to this girl AT ALL.
I stopped reading a few chapter in, it was all so contrived and it genuinely felt like the author was either 14 when she wrote this or 75 and forgot how human, 17 year old girls think...

My goodness that book went fast I almost don't remember what happened. Really didn't get a chance to feel anything for the characters its like you meet them by name but nothing other than that. Maybe if it didn't go so fast I would have gotten to fall in love with them. Really wouldn't recommend this one unless you are just looking for a sugary sweet book to pass the time.

This was an amazing book! I love student/teacher romances! This is one of the great ones that I will come to and re-read. The characters were awesome and well-developed. Allison was a sweet, spunky seventeen year old. Cooper is definitely boyfriend material, he is sweet, adorable, and just HOT! The secondary character were amazing as well. The ending was perfect. Glad they got their HEA!

I couldn't even finish this. The writing was too simple and the storyline felt rushed. There wasn't much for character development so it was hard to get lost in it. The idea was good but the writing needed a lot of work.

This fell flat for me. It was too cheesy and the story line was developed to quickly.
This novel centers around Allison Starr, a senior in high school, hoping to go onto becoming a writer. She has dreams, she has aspirations - and like the rest of us here, she’s a book lover. She’s staying with her Aunt over her final summer break of high school to give her single father a break as she has done since she lost her mother at a young age; and she starts to visit the beach where a mystery guy takes an interest in her…

She's crying, he's crying, they're crying, the family is crying, the neighbor's are crying, strangers are crying, crazy cat lady is crying, the drunk on the corner is crying, angels are crying, the pet hamster is crying, the tree moss is crying. Everyone is nonstop crying through the whole book. Why is no one freaking drowning by this point?

So predictable and annoying, it got me thinking about MY choices in books... I need to prove myself that I dont suck at picking my reads, and this story didnt help with my case

This is bad, like really bad, not: I-don't-care-bad, but just I'm-not-even-going-to-continue-bad.

What is THIS? I liked the storyline (though it sounded way too cliche and familiar), but the characters are just so flat and so is the story.

My rant (lots and lots of SPOILERS and quotes):

So basically Cooper (or Ryan, whatever his name is) likes Allison right after seeing her and asks her out. He tells his friend Sean about her and said friend then stalks the girl or something. THEN on their first

I'm giving this book two stars just to be nice.
I don't know how exactly I came across this book...I read the description and thought: "this seems like a good book lets read it!" With the whole student teacher forbidden kind of love the story looked appealing to wrong I waaaaaas!

Ok so lets start by saying I did not connect with the main characters AT ALL much less their romance. I mean here we have this girl that's been watching this guy from afar for like five days or something like

The overall story, it's pretty good.

Kind of cliche of course, because it's a story about a girl who fall in love with her school teacher, though she didn't know it at first. I have read several books with exactly the same plot and so far this book didn't really surprise me.

Allison always spent her summer at her aunt's house. That's where she met Cooper, the surfer hottie. She knew that their "love" is going to be a summer romance, but as the time goes by, her feeling for Cooper's getting

Teach Me. I thought this book was playful, sneaky and scheming. Boy, was I wrong. This book was far from playful. Reading this, I never really thought nor imagined that it was one of those books. I was caught off guard and was thrown off while reading some parts of it. It was short yet straight forward. The author did not prolong the story and went straight to where she wants it to go. Though it was fast paced, I did not feel

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE a Student/Teacher scenario. Being married to a teacher I always visualize myself as the student. After just reading Good by S. Walden it really put me in the mood to read another student/teacher book. I've had this book on my kindle pile for a while, but some of the reviews I had read had made me stall on reading it until now. I wish I hadn't of waited because I absolutely fell in love with this book!! I read it in one night. It had a great love story that ...more

I'm a sucker for 'passionate' romances, and all the Amazon reviews promised it was just that. But, I felt like it was essentially a rip-off of Nicholas Sparks' "A Walk to Remember," which I actually really enjoyed. This book didn't develop the characters as much as I would have liked the author to, and I find myself wondering if the situation is really plausible. A 21-year-old college graduate falls for a high school senior during the summer - and then SURPRISE - they find out he's going to be ...more

I loved this book. The characters were wonderful. More than once I wanted to cuddle up to Cooper and have him shower me with love. Oh well. It was really short and sweet, which was lovely.

The ONLY problem I have is that stupid cliffhanger. After 10, 11 hours of surgery, that doctor comes out there and says, "There was nothing we could do medically, blah, blah, blah," and then Coop goes running off into the room like a bat outta hell and then he hits the floor. I actually stopped reading for a
