******* PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW FROM THE FIRST BOOK BECOMING A BUTTERFLY. PLEASE READ WITH CAUTION! *******

Butterfly Kisses is the most amazing sequel I have read. I get scared sometimes that I won't like a sequel as much as I liked the first book but dare I say it I LOVE MIA!!!!!!!!! What she has written in the sequel will knock your socks right off your feet. In Becoming a Butterfly we meet Lacey, Chase, Lana, Tomas, Byron, and Henry. This group of teens is goin

My Thoughts:

Wow. There is so much going on in this book that I'm not sure I have had sufficient time to let everything settle. First of all, I have to say that I love this story so, so much. I fell in love with it and all of the characters in the first book and reading this one just put the icing on the cake. Mia knows how to write a novel. She knows how to keep you coming back for more. So many issues are touched on. Mia isn't afraid to get deep and really go outside the box and I really like t

I actually had this book before the first one as I didn't know this was the second book. When I did finished the first book I didn't see where it could go next and what did happen I never expected.

This cover is pretty much the same as the first one but what is white in this one was black in the first. I did actually prefer this one as there is more black in this one making it stand out a bit more.

With the first one I was into it straight away but this time it took a little while longer to

Cover: It's alright...

It took me a long time to read this one cause I really can't stomach the bullying and things that made the sisters sad...

Lacey:

She was somehow a grown up in this book... Maybe because of what happened to her sister, she was forced to see the world in a different light... And then there is her blindness to what others are feeling towards her... She's not aware that others find her beautiful...

Lana:

I think the sessions really did something for her, she became better... And ma

Butterfly Kisses is the second installment in The Butterfly Chronicles series. In the first novel, Becoming a Butterfly, we learned about Lacey and how she struggled with being accepted with her true self while her sister Lana dealt with suicidal issues in the background. In Butterfly Kisses, we get to see Lana step forward while she picks up her life and works on putting it back together all while struggling with being bullied from her past actions.

Lacey has adjusted well and obviously learne

The best kind of love, is love found when least expected.

Lacy’s been obsessing over her next-door neighbor for as long as she can remember, but since he found out that she’s his online girlfriend, Farrah, he’s been avoiding her. Even though her friendship with Chase started off with blackmail, he seems to have stuck around to pick up the pieces. And Lacy’s perfect sister Lana tells us her side of the story after she tried to take her own life.

Butterfly Kisses alternates POV between Lacy and Lana

{my thoughts} – This book is written in the point of of view of Lacey and Lana Baxter. This book runs through the difficulties that life can throw at a person and how complicated life and secrets can become. Lacey is a strong girl, she likes to show her independence and she likes to know that she has people there for her when she needs them. She likes to know that she isn’t completely alone. She is still worried about her sister as well, however, this book brings even more worrying into her life ...more

Lacey grows up. She is more confident and has an easier time telling people how she feels even if it takes her a few tries. She is no longer a brat. It might have been her sister's suicide attempt or the awesome friendship/relationship she develops with Chase, but whatever it is, it's working for her. She even manages to find friends in places she never expected. Even as her friendships are becoming better, her home life is falling apart. The second book is also told from Lana's POV. Lana is wor ...more

Given for an honest review from Entwined Publishing.

Following becoming a butterfly this is the summer after something happened in the first book.

The Baxter family tries to pick up the shattered pieces of their family. However its not fixable.

This is told from Lacey's point of view and her younger sister Lana. Both girls changed for the better in this installment if the series.

The ending was just stunning. I can't wait to see what becomes of Lacey, Chase, and Lana.

5/5 stars,Happy Reading, Ashley

This is a story about a girl, named Mia. She grew up in suburb of medium sized city. There were cold winters, and hot sticky summers. Mia’s favorite seasons were spring and fall. She enjoyed the mild seasons, but also loved the vibrant colors each possessed.
Mia loved music. She didn’t just love it, she sat on the floor in front of her Casio stereo for hours at a time, recording songs off the radi
