Follow Dalton as he uses a secret identity to infiltrate Restraint and locate the informant feeding Adelaide Whittenhower. His struggles with his painful past and his behavior of creating havoc among the membership is a bitter pill for the masochist to swallow. Will Adelaide welcome him into the fold before the members of Restraint banish him?

About the author

Erica Chilson

36 books432 followers
Erica Chilson does not write in the 3rd person, wanting her readers to be her characters. Therefore, writing a bio about herself, is uncomfortable in the extreme.

Born, raised, and here to stay, the Wicked Writer is a stump-jumper, a ridge-runner. Hailing from North Central Pennsylvania, directly on the New York State border; she loves the changes in seasons, the humid air, all the mountainous forest, and the gloomy atmosphere.

Introverted, but not socially awkward, Erica prides herself on thinking first and filtering her speech. There are days she doesn’t speak at all. If it wasn’t for the fact that she lives with her parents, giving her a sense of reality, she would be a hermit, where the delivery man finds her months after expiration.

Reading was an escape, a way to leave a not-so pleasant reality behind. Reading lent Erica the courage she gathered from the characters between the pages to long for a different life. Writing was an instrument of change, evolving Erica into the woman she is today- a better, more mature, more at peace thinker.

Erica has a wicked mind, one she pours out into her creations. Her filter doesn’t allow all of it to erupt, much to her relief. Sarcastic, with a very dark, perverse sense of humor, Erica puts a bit of herself into every character she writes.

All aboard! This story is filled with one train wreck after another.

Seriously. Just get it over.

In this latest MMR, we finally learn about Dalton. I hated Dalton. He was a complete asshole and I'm sure he's the fucking mole.

I would happily

Then I read from his side of the story. Then reading through this book, it makes the reader question. When the big reveal occurs. It's a big kick to the balls.

His Master made him do what?

What kind of Master is this? A FUCKING BAD ONE! Good Lord have mercy I was so pissed.

Ms. Chilson once again does another complete mindfuck on all the readers. She's a sadistic bitch laughing merrily as the poor reader becomes vested in these tormented characters.

This story is well written yet way too emotionally exhausting for me. I need to take a break after each book. This story is a freaking soap opera.

I'm not a fan of soap operas, but this one, I signed up to finish at least six of these stories. Not sure if I'm going to make it through it. I need to get to book 8. It is going to take a long, long time.

Recommended for dark erotica readers who enjoy a good mind fuck and to be fucked in the ass.

If you thought it couldn't get any more bizarre and fucked up than it is in the Zeitler family just wait until you get to meet Dalton's loving parents. Dalton's loving mother takes bizarre and fucked up to new levels. I thought I was done with this series because I have a problem with the Master hierarchy and the way the masters at the top abuse their power, but my friend Donna J convinced me to keep going and holy shit am I glad I kept going. Once I got started in this book I couldn't put it down. Caution, there are some very graphic MM scenes in this book so if you are the least bit homophobic you might want to skip this one. BUT, if you are open minded you may just find these MM scenes HOT AS HELL! I am a 53 year old straight married man and I am usually a little uncomfortable with graphic MM sex, but there were a few scenes in this book that take you right past uncomfortable to horny as hell in an instant. Watch for the club scene where they are having MM sex right in front of everyone without most of the watchers even noticing and then the continuation in the hall and on the stairs. Excellent book over all. I would have given this book 5 stars, but again it is riddled with typos. I am hoping that the proofreading gets much better as this series continues.

This review was rejected by Amazon due to profanity. LOL I reworded it without the profanity and resubmitted.

We get a glimpse and little snippets of Dalton in the other books, but we finally get to know who the REAL Dalton is and his story. You will be pleasantly surprised and pleased. Dalton takes you on a roller coaster of emotion's and you will maybe find your self like I did, following his emotions throughout your reading. I was sucked in the minute I started reading, wanting to know what was really going on. I found myself cringing while getting glimpse in his past, and laughing out loud while following him and his struggles to be his true self. During the other previous books you may of found your self cursing at him, and not liking him very much, but in this one you will most likely find your self rooting for him, the under dog and hoping he gets what her truly deserves. Hold on for a emotional roller coaster ride and get ready to find your self sucked into the dark, sexy and sometimes scary world of Restraint. Dalton is a emotional, dark, sexy, shocking, sometimes comical read. The book leaves you wanting for more and needing to know what is going to go on with the new secrets you learn.

well what can I say?! Hot! hot! Once again another completely captivating awesome book in this series! I loved this one. I loved Dalton...his story was so sad yet he became a very strong character. I love how these books always amaze me and I am in shock most of the time. I love how there is always a shocker at the end of the book and the next one continues where it left off. I feel sad that this is the last one released so far. These characters feel like my family and friends...and that I am having to say goodbye and not hear from them for a while. I truly feel like I am part of these books. They are so captivating. The sex and passion is out of this world. My eyes bug out and my heart is racing. It is just written so well. I love the mysteriousness in these books and never knowing what's going to happen. It's one crazy journey that's for sure!!

I loved this series! I haven't been this captivated and sucked in for a long time! I'm exhausted yet content. God I can't wait till the next book! Please Hurry!!

Amazing continuation of the Master and Mistress of Restrain series. I was lucky enough to be a beta reader and as usual she just blew me away! Ms. Chilson gets to the deep down, nitty gritty part of a person and rips it out into the light.

This story was more than a little bit dark and explored areas that most of us probably don't think of when it comes to BDSM, but the humanity and the feelings behind each action saves it from being dark and twisted just for shock value.

Please make sure the bar is secured securely across your lap as we’re going on a bumpy roller coaster ride! You will be up, you will be down, you will cry, you will be pissed and most of all you will fall in love with Dalton!

Erica Chilson continues to weave a story that is so dark and twisted it’s wonder anyone could survive, must less turn out remotely normal. And when I say remotely normal, I mean not serial killer! These stories are so dark, twisted, and full of OMG! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? You’ll sit with your book in your hand with your mouth hanging open and your SO checking to make sure you’re ok.

In the previous books, we’ve gotten a glimpse of Dalton. But that glimpse is not anywhere near what the real Dalton is like. He’s an ass and takes advantage of any weak spot he finds. He exploits weakness like it’s his ticket to survival, and it just might be!

Erica Chilson continues to amaze me with her dark and twisted stories. Her imagination is unbelievable and she paints a world that is both harsh and beautiful at the same time. Harsh because no one should have to endure what her characters have endured. Beautiful because they find family and acceptance in each other. People are who not related by blood find that family is not who who’re bound by blood to, it’s those who love you for who you are and who can be.

OMG what a trip that was!! I loved this story and hung on to every word. There is no way you can skim read any of the books in this series they are so complex, dark and beautifully f'd up.

My heart broke for Dalton and what the poor man had been through! I was so happy he finally found love I even found myself reading the MM scenes, something I am not normally a fan of!!

Then the 'mole' was finally revealed....nope didn't see that coming. The way the author wrote that in was pure genius, IMO!

NB: To fully understand and enjoy this story I strongly recommend you start with Restraint, my favourite in the series until Dalton's story!

This is the 4th book in the series and I have read these books in four days. Story in the previous books is set up such that by the time you reach Dalton's book you hate him. But when I finish this book I found my heart breaking for him. I just wanted to hug him and make things better. Dalton is hiding many secrets and it was intriguing to see hints of what is going on in the lives of the other Masters. Now I have said it before that these books are an emotional roller coaster ride and it continues in this book. At times my head was spinning. This book did not disappoint. Like I said in my review of Restraint if you are not into BDSM this book is not for you. But, if you enjoy an erotic read which gives the reader BDSM, love, hate and a well of other emotions this book is for you and you won’t be disappointed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Review for Original Dalton

Read once

Not my favorite in the series, but still a great read. Since this is the original version I won't review it further since it's not available any longer. I only have this review to keep track of read dates.

However, Read the series:-)

Never judge a book by it's cover (I love the cover of this book by the way) and never judge a person without actually getting to know him. Dalton was a complete jerk and a horrible person in the first three books. But I was intrigued by the ending of the last book by his character and was curious to see how the author would handle his story. Boy did she deliver! Dalton was nothing like I expected him to be in personality or appearance. His story is heartbreaking and if you thought the previous characters had messed up families, wait till you read about Dalton's family. The scenes between him and Pretty Boy are hot, hot, hot. I'm so glad that they found each other. Be prepared for twists and turns and finding out who was the mole in Restraint all along took me by surprise. This one is actually my favorite book in the series so far.

aww my poor Dalton. When mentioned in the other books I knew he wasn't he complete ass and I knew there was more to his story. completly surprised! I cringed when he over stepped his bounds with Monica and insulted Kat. I had to keep reminding myself that it would get better for Dalton, that he would get his revenge from the blood sucking vampire and he and Isty Bitsy would be free. But at the end I wasnt satisifed, I wanted revenge! The vampire said awful, awful things, broke his poor heart and then that was it. understandbly now i want this nut job locked away..or he heart on a wooden stake..either way will make me happy

WOW, what else can I say. This one was more emotional for me than the first three. I wanted to beat the crap out of Olivia and Tony (Dalton's mother and father) for using Dalton as a pawn in their game of life that was controlled by Pierre (Dalton's grandfather). All the while Dalton was trying to help his mother figure out who was feeding information to Adelaide to write her books. He is being used, abused, whore out and not given the love he deserved. He has to act as an asshole and try to get the mole to open up to him. He is tired of living the lie and wants to be happy. Devlin tells him to not ask questions and enjoy his surprise. Can Dalton guess who is coming to visit and will it be who he wants? Can he stand up to his mother and be the only one in control of his life? Will the Masters and Mistresses of Restraint accept him or will they throw him to the wolves? This series is great. If you are into reading BDSM, then you should try this series. Eric Chilson is doing a great job.

Explosive,as more secrets and revelations rock the members of Restrain. The club is being renovated and we finally get Dalton’s story. So much pain in his story, the abuse he’s suffered, the lies the untruth, the mystery all comes out. Nothing is as it seems in this book. The family founders of Dominion are seriously all screwed up. As we get Dalton’s story we see him fall in love for the first time, out himself in more ways than one and finally get a chance to heal. We also find out the members of Generation Next and who the mole is.

This is definitely going to be playing with my head for a while, especially as I read this straight after Dexter so it was like one continuous story, only I was in someone else’s head instead. The good thing was because the characters are so massively different there was no mixing them up at all. I would advise that whilst reading this, you have a few hours to spend immersed in it.

I received an ARC of this book from the author for an honest review.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, Dalton. I have to say, for the first few books in the series I absolutely hated Dalton. He was a complete and total a-hole! Now, however, I have a drastically different opinion. Dalton had gotten more twisted abuse and mind games played on him than any character I have ever read about. I feel for him and cried for him throughout this book.

In Dalton, we find out more about the twisted lives of the residents of Restraint while they try to ferret out the mole that is leaking all of their personal information to the author of a tell all series. The group "Generation Next" has been steadily releasing information about the goings on at Restraint for their own reasons, and everyone is on edge.

Dalton and Whitt find solace in each other, but only after Dalton becomes true to himself, and not his Master.

So far, Dalton is my favorite in the series. I can't wait to read on about the rest of the Masters and Mistresses of Restraint!

Holy Crap! Ok, so first of all, make sure that you read the first three books in this series before you read this one! And if you read Dexter, then you know that Dalton is a complete as*… jerk! So when I saw that he had his own book… well, lets just say that I wasn’t too happy about that! Then I got to reading. All the problems that happen in Dexter have come over into this book and we finally get to see how things were handled and resolved (somewhat). The Maître du Jeu’s and the BDSM Lifestyle Authority are still major players in this book, but we finally get to see those Masters knocked down a pug or 5. Also, in Dalton, we get to see him as he truly is and not just the way that he wanted people to see him. We see his past and how he overcomes it with the help of his family, fellow Masters and his lover.
Even though I hated Dalton in Dexter, I came to love this bad guy when I got to know his own story! This is such a great and steamy m/m read that you wont be able to put it down until you have read the last page!

I can not get enough of this series. This is the 4th installment and in my eyes they just keep getting better.

To be honest, I was skeptical of Dalton's book. I hated him in the previous books. HATED HIM! Then, I found the real Dalton and now I love him. Emo Dalton, that's for sure. Wow. My heart was breaking for him while reading. I cringed while reading some of the stuff that he's gone through. Made me sick to my stomach.

Don't get me wrong while this book was deep, dark, and heavy it was still HOT HOT HOT! Holy sheep was this smokin'.

Can't wait to see how the ending plays out in the upcoming book...

Erica has out paced her 1st books very quickly. I found an author who is not scared to embraces her characters. no matter their sexual kink. And she hinds her villains in plain site,I love that. Dalton takes you on a path that is in many ways more painful that dear Katya. From Dexter book I wanted to HATE him. I now walk away from this book proud of him, and had to wipe tears from eyes for the sins that were committed to him. Dalton is not what I expected in the least and I love loved this book. In closing I will quote my fave group "Happy controlling and kneeling, boys and girls."

OMG can I just say when I saw this was the next book in the series I was disappointed, after reading the last 3 I didn’t want to read about such an ass. I was wondering how Erica was going to make a whole book on his character. But I seriously LOVED it. I was hooked from the first chapter. Dalton is such an ass to to get into his head and see all the pain and shame he is holding within, the darkness from his father, the strictness from his Master. I loved getting to see how Ezra/Cortez/Kat and Dexter/Monica are fairing. HOT sex scenes and touching emotional moments!! This is definitely my favorite of the series and a MUST READ!!

Here we have the 4th installment of the M&M of restraint series which puts the focus more on Dalton this time around. He comes off as a jackoff ( but more of a bad word) but it's only his cover. He puts a whole new meaning to the saying what you see is not what you always get. he has to hide who he truly is to please others around him while trying to not lose himself in the process which he comes close to a few times. We get a more in-depth look at why he is the way he is and what he had to endure growing up in household with basically no love towards him. He was nothing but a pawn in others peoples game and now its time for him to find his inner self and be the man he is meant to be

I just re-read this novel after author re-writes. It's even more amazing the second time around! Dalton is full of self loathing and deep emotions by a tortured man stuck between warring mob families. Being torn between his mother and father he's absolutely a pawn in the game. Finally breaking free of his tyrant master, Dalton is free to finally love, himself and someone else.
The sparks fly when Whitt and Dalton finally break their bonds and
come together. Amazing chemistry! Completely enjoyed every page, as usual.

This book had me from chapter 1 till the end!!!! After the way Dexter ended I hated Dalton and didn't understand why he was an asshole! Well this book made me love him! Once I learned why he did what he did I respected him for his loyalty and trying to help. I couldn't get enough of him and Whitt so hot! I love the connection they have and cant wait to see if it grows in the books to come! This is a must read! I just love Erica Chilson and if you haven't read any book from her you def need to do so!!!!!

Of the four books released so far, Dalton is not my favorite in terms of storyline, but he might very well be one of my favorite characters. Dalton's life, from birth, is full of conflict and it seems like he's never had a chance to step back, refocus, and gain control of his life on his own. His mother, "father," and fellow masters all have such a strong influence - and he's certainly under a ton of pressure. I can't wait to see how Dalton's character weaves into the ongoing pieces!

The continuing story in this saga now about Dalton, I must say I was a little disappointed in. I personally found the story just didn't flow as smoothly as the other 3 books and I found myself having difficulty getting into the lead character Dalton and his underlying story all linked to Restraint. But I enjoyed the 3 previous books so forced myself to finish.
