Cette dernière a accepté de reprendre avec lui la direction de l’hôtel Sand & Surf sur l’île de Ganse

This was primarily Owen and Laura's story where their relationship progresses beyond friendship. However, many of the couples of past stories are featured with significant updates along with future developing relationships.

I'm a big fan of multiple storylines as I love the continuity, especially in series with small town communities as is the setting here in Gansett Island. Each of the stories was interesting but because of the large number of people appearing, the book suffered from too much f

Let me begin by saying that it is GRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!

It just doesn't get much better than a trip back to Gansett Island where the lovefest between Owen Lawry and Laura McCarthy continues to heat up in Book 6 of this popular series. In addition, readers will find a separate short story bonus package at the end of SEASON FOR LOVE where a much anticipated invitation to a special holiday wedding awaits.

Owen Lawry is a travelin’ man. As that old song goes, “he’s been a lot of pla
I feel so guilty giving this only two stars, but it just didn't work for me.

I loved the main characters of the previous books in the series, but their completely sappy anecdotes in this book just interrupted the flow of the story and completely threw me out of my reading trance several times.

Anyone who hasn't read the other books in the series will have NO clue who these people are, and it's a waste of exposition to give us their backstories. Readers like me who have devoured the previous books

I've been a fan of Force and the Gansett Island series since the first book, "Maid for Love". I've thoroughly enjoyed the progression of the series until this book. As with any series that is more than three or four books long, the weight of the previous books and the characters that populate it make this read too heavy. This book almost felt like an anthology. There were several separate sub-plots that were not related to the main characters of Owen and Laura (I love the main character's names ...more

2.5 Stars - I was looking forward to Owen and Laura's story, but this book just didn't work for me. I felt like it rambled all over the place without ever really going anywhere. Given the circumstances with Laura's soon-to-be ex and her condition plus budding relationship with Owen, I expected an emotional read with some angst, a little conflict, and lots of "feelings" before a hea. For me, it flat-lined. I bumped my rating up because I have enjoyed this family including friends & neighbors ...more

I really do enjoy this series.
ESR (easy, sexy, romantic) read for sure.

I love reading about all the McCarthys and their cousins, friends, etc.
Another marvelous addition to The McCarthy’s Gansett Island series. This story was jam packed with love, love , love and sex, sex, sex. Not that it was erotica, there were so many side stories, engagements, new pregnancies, old pregnancies and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the previous stories’ H&h’s getting it on. I like that Marie Force keeps the love stories from her previous books in the series alive. You invest so much time with them it is good to feel they are still going strong or ...more
4 stars because I was very confused with all the extra plots and characters thrown in the mix and I wanted more time for just Owen & Laura however I love getting reaquanited with the rest of the islanders. I feel connected to them even though they are fictional characters. Each couple is still going through their little dramas or big milestones that endure me as a reader and keep me coming back. Like the big news Joe & Janie had! I loved their book, so it's great hearing about them. That ...more

Here is the deal. I have enjoyed every book in The McCarthys of Gansett Island companion series, but I have definitely enjoyed some more than others. I have been waiting for Laura and Owen to get their happily ever after for a long time. They were first introduced into to the series a couple of books ago and they have been flirting around each other ever since. I was really looking forward to this novel, but unfor

I loved this book.... Owen and Laura are great... That's saying a lot coming from me... I'm totally in love with Mac and I thought nothing could top Maid for Love. But Season for Love is definitely up there.

One of the things that I love about Marie's writing is that she is constantly introducing you to new characters. This is a good thing, because it leads you to think that the series could possibly to go on forever.

In this book we’re introduced to Carolina Cantrell, Joe’s mother, Sarah, Owen’s

Owen is used to life as a musician, always on the move & going where the gigs take him. This winter things take a change in his life.

Laura is a recently married woman (cousin to the McCarthy clan). Laura's marriage has gone terribly wrong in short couple of months.

Laura is now back on the island she loves with her aunt, uncle, & all the cousins she loves. Owen steps into her life & turns everything including his own life upside down.

The story line was well written and the characters were great
but it was a bit confusing at times. There were just so many
different stories going on. I wanted it to be more about
Laura & Owen, there were just so little of their story and
more of the other couples stories. Don’t get me wrong, I love
the other couples but I wanted this book to be truly about
Laura & Owen.

Owen Lawry has made a living as a traveling musician and
enjoys his footloose and fancy free lifestyle. But after
This book was terrific! SO much page time spent with former characters. Not just a sentence to catch you up either, there were pages and pages updating each couple from the previous books. It was like sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner with the family you only get to see on Thanksgiving. :)

And we got a look at characters that I hope will be getting their own stories soon. Ms. Force can do no wrong!

If I had one teeny, small caveat it would be that all the catching up left us less time for Owen a

Mmmm.. I love how Ms Force writes and I love her books, but in this one there's too much things going on. I'm used to have each book in series concentrating mostly to one couple, while the others previous ones are mentioned in the background; here all the couples are main couples! And, in addition, there're other, new couples are in making! It's just too much! I'll read the next one 'cause I want to see what happens, but I would like the return to the "normal" way! :D
Before talking about 'Season for Love', I'll talk about the short story Marie included at the end.
The short story's about a wedding in Gansett Island and I absolutely loved it. I'm so happy to know that certain characters from book 3 had come this far. I got so emotional that I almost cried (happy tears of course) while reading it. 5 stars to the short story (which I wish could've come separately so I could rate it on its own with the stars it deserves).

Now, let's talk about 'Season for Love'.

This book was tricky. It was kind of like attending a dinner party hosted by a recent acquaintance, one in which you really like the other people attending and which you like the nice couple hosting, but there is just so many times you feel out of the loop or don't get the joke or can't always keep straight who is who or how they are all related. And if I'm going to go with this analogy, like with a dinner party, the hosts are so busy spreading themselves among the other guest or dealing with la ...more

First and foremost, with this series all the books are basically the exact same so you can’t really say much about the storyline or characters. The characters are all one dimensional; they haven’t really changed at all in entire series it seems. So the only thing you really can review is the author and book in general. First let’s get to the negative… again this book also gives insight to the other residents/McCarthy’s as well and normally I don’t mind it…I love hearing about the others…but in t ...more

I am a HUGE fan of Marie Force and this is one of my favorite series!! This was a great addition and I loved getting caught up with all of the characters from the previous books!!

Owen and Laura have such a loving story. The scenes between them have some of the most touching moments that I have read. I just love how the two of them take care of each other. Owen is definitely a sweetie!!

Wow, what an amazing book! Like all of the other books by Marie Force, I just could't seem to put this one down. Seasons for Love is the 6th book in the McCarthy books and as wonderful as can be! Normally the sequals are never as good as the first, however, this series proves that all wrong and the books just keep getting hotter and hotter!

As seasons change the island tourists season slows down but life on the island seems to heat up! With Laura pregnant and so in love with Owen she is forced t

Once again Marie Force has emmersed us into life on Gansett Island and let me just say it was so good to be back! I was intrigued by Owen and Laura when they started to get closer in Hoping for Love and having them front and center in this book was fantastic. Another aspect of this book that I absolutely loved was how we still were kept up to date on all of the other inhabitants of Gansett Island. The McCarthy's are a large bunch, but every single one of them is interesting and worth the time th ...more

Another McCarthy of Gansett Island book that I really liked. I enjoyed seeing how the other couples were doing as well. The only problem with that, was that it seemed that not enough time was devoted to Laura & Owen's story. I would have loved to see more of how their relationship progressed (view spoiler). It was wrapped up too neatly at the end.

The other issue was that there were so many more characters introduce

I really did enjoy reading this series up until this point. I kind of got attached to the characters, and I was eager to see where the author went with them. However, in Season For Love, I was super disappointed. There were far too many subplots, and everything wrapped up just a little too neatly at the end for Laura and Owen. And as for Seamus and Caroline? YUCK! Honestly, I have no problem with age differences, but I had hoped for something else with Seamus. Something that didn't involve a 56- ...more

Another great one by Marie Force. I loved pretty much everything about this addition to the Gansett Island series; the new people, possible new romances, catching up with old romances, attempted break-up, proposals, pregnancy, a wedding and new businesses for the island (yea everything)!

I struggled with the story line with this one. Don't want to give any details, but the heroine gives up so quickly on her first marriage. If she did that, she could do it again. At the end, everything just worked out too easily without letting me see the struggle. Happy reading!

This was a nice short extra after Book 6. I love Luke. I just wish I felt the same about Syd. Oh well, it's a common problem for me. That said, I was happy to see another happy Gansett Island couple settle down in wedded bliss.
