Finding her past was supposed to end the nightmare. Only it was just the beginning.

Entrusting the fate of the world, not to mention her and Isaiah’s life to a father she’s never met is a big leap of faith on Fallon’s part. But it’s a necessary risk. Ashton is the key to protecting Isaiah and keeping her out of Garrison’s clutches. He is also the only one who can tell her w

Well Worth The Wait

OH MY WOW!!! I do believe I used some other profound language when I finished Touching Fire, book #2 in the Touch Saga by the lovely Airicka Phoenix.

Let me start by saying this book was totally not where I was expecting Ms. Phoenix to take Fallon’s journey. It was so much more. Emotional, raw, and intense are three words that come to my mind when you ask me about Touching Fire.

Those of you that have read my reviews know that I really don’t like to give much away when it come

I really really really really really really can't wait.

We still have to wait for two whole months.. I HOPE.
Because a lot of stupid writers postpone the book's publish date.

That better not happen!

I will wait for you, Touching Fire!!

I was given an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest review....

In Touching Smoke we met Fallon and learned she is a more complex girl than anyone could have dreamt, including herself. The daughter of a human and a sin, she is now fighting to find her place - well, where she wants to be. Unfortunately, Garrison will not let her rest as he is determined to "own" her for his own purposes of world destruction. But what does dad say, well he too has his own does everyone in this st

*received ARC for honest review*

First and foremost I want to yell at the author for the damn cliffhanger... not what I was expecting. You suck!

second, Fallon has come a long way, she's getting some confidence to her and is getting more powers, she understands now when her powers come into play.
Isaiah is her strength and could quite possibly be her destruction. I love these two kids. I am very hopeful for their future however Miss Phoenix has made it hard to figure out what their future may hold

Wow! The long awaited sequel to Touching Smoke is finally here and it is well worth the wait! Filled with action, beautiful descriptions, new worlds and characters and too many damn intimate scenes between Fallon and Isaiah - Airicka does good with the teasing- it's worth the read. It's well written and gorgeously described, I felt like I was actually living in Fallon's world. I felt like I was watching a movie or tv show, it was just that vivid. Now we'll have to wait a while for book 3 but I k ...more
One day authors (should i say other authors?) anyways, one day, we readers will rise up against your cliffhangering-y ternary and demand that if you do it, have the next one out the next day! Or just you know, stop you from doing it...

First Warning: I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review => honesty is the best policy right? Unless a girl asks you if she looks fat, the answer is always, always, NO. don't question me on this. It's just how the world works.

I just want to start straight off by saying that this book is EPIC!
I loved book one and the wait has been loooong but believe me, this more than makes up for that wait and really opens up the world attached to the story in a big way and answers are freely given but that raises more questions & that only adds to the allure. Following the ending of book one, Fallon and Isaiah are o

So after receiving an ARC copy of Airicka Phoenix’s Touching Smoke a few months back, I’ve been anxiously waiting for the second book, Touching Fire, to make its appearance. After a few false alarms, it finally got released on March 27, and I got around to reading it a few weeks ago. I was REALLY excited to read it because I loved the first one so much (see my review here), but I really had no thoughts on where the series was going to go after Fallon learned all about herself.

Just WOW!!

You know those authors who are beyond amazing at writing that you just wish you could camp outside their home and be the first to get the news on what they are working on and when you will be able to get you greedy stalkerish hands on their next work of art..? Ms. Phoenix is EXACTLY that type.
I couldn't even form proper sentences when I finished this book cause it left me speechless and excited and terrified and on edge and... and... and... Instead of reading this review go pick up th

Book 2 picks up one month after Fallon and Isaiah escaped Garrison’s clutches. Isaiah has convinced Fallon to contact her father, Ashton, to receive help. They have been on the move constantly, just one step ahead of Garrison’s men. When Fallon meets her father, she has no idea who he really is, or for that matter what she really is.
Oh my God I love this series. I can’t get enough of these characters, especially Fallon. The world building is incredibly. I can see the other worlds she creates an

This is one of those series that takes forever to release, but when it releases you know your in for a VERY wild, plot twist infested ride. This was actually one of the FIRST books I've re-read. Please keep in mind that when I read a book, unless it means something to me or is signed, I usually never pick it up again. I LOVED that this was one of the exceptions.

There is NEVER a dull moment in this story. There's an I-hope-it-becomes-a-love-triang

When you find yourself expecting one thing to happen next and completely caught off guard when the author takes the story in a completely different direction... This is what you should expect when reading 'Touching Fire'! Airicka Phoenix weaves a story so intense that there is nothing between the first word and the last that will take you away from finishing this amazing book in one sitting. Up all night, cozy by the fire light or seated upright & focused on the pages as they turn under your ...more

Despite all of the four and five star reviews, I found "Touching Fire" to be one convoluted hot mess! This series started out with the theme of manipulation and of DNA within people to an extreme. Then, in book two it morphed into a different beast entirely. The author includes magical dimensions, demons, angels, Greek mythology, the Loch Ness monster, water nymphs and God knows what all else. Additionally, the editing errors in this book were ridiculous! With this being said, I moderately enjoy ...more

Ready for an adventure to a whole new world? Paranormal lovers...this is one you won't want to miss! It is full of action, comedy, heat, & other worldly goodness!
Frustratingly so because of Fallon & Isiah's hot/cold/smoldering moments. Then I was full of questions along with Fallon yet with every new morsel of info. I found more added replacing the last. Of course she couldn't just lay it all out there easy peasy for us now could she? Where would the

Another pretty good read in the series - although my favourite is still the prequel novel, Touching Eternity. After reading the first book in the series, I was looking forward to reading this book and hopefully getting some more answers about what is really going on. While this book did answer some questions about Fallon, her heritage, and why everyone wants her - it only served to stir up questions, questions, and more questions. (view spoiler) ...more

Boy how I missed Isaiah and Fallon. I missed their relationship, their crazy love for each other, and Fallon's knack for always getting into the thick of things.

This book was so much better than the first. Soooo much better. I say that because there was just so much more going on. New beings that had powers no normal person could ever imagine, New worlds that you don't ever want to be found in, and new Characters that make you want to swoon and slap at the same time.

Ok, ok.. I love Isaiah. He's
Airicka thank you so much for asking me to review this book. I gave it 5 stars because it was a fantastic continuation to what I am sure is going to be an amazing series. The book is full of twists and turns and the is-it-isnt it love triangle that seems to be developing both of which keep the reader hooked.

In this book we saw Fallon meet her Father Ashton for the first time after escaping from Garrison, the man who was responsible for creating her. We also find out that she is a Wrath Sin Fledg

I guess her sarcasm hasn't changed since the last book and I do still find it irritating but I understand that it is her coping mechanism. Then again I did not sympathize with her when she was coping with the situation regarding her father and she sounded like a whiny brat although she does admit her faults but she still does them. That's the only part I hate about this book.

The relationship between her and Isaiah kept getting better and better plus the scenes were steamy but totally frustrating

Holy frick!!! O.o I was so not expecting that! I really did not see Ms Phoenix taking the story in this direction. I was so surprised and I loved that! I hate when a story is predictable and you can guess what's gonna happen from the get go. But not this time. Oh no, this story is in no way predictable. There are so many twists and turns you have no idea what's gonna happen next. I really do applaud Ms Phoenix for her creativity and imaginative story-telling. This book blew me away. It was nothing like what I was expecting, and with each new twist and turn the story became darker and even more terrifying. I was fully immersed in the story as Fallon uncovered her heritage, a complex web of lies and secrets, layer upon layer of surprising revelations that saw Fallon go from being a scientific experiment, to a powerful being with a destiny that could bring about the end of the world. It also showed that there were far more frightening things in this wor ...more

This series is incredible. So much is constantly happening and once you think you understand a few things a big something happens and everything changes. You even end up with 100 more questions on what the h3@# is going on with Fallon!! I wouldn't change any of it though. It's hard to find a book where you cannot anticipate it's every move. I love surprises an having to constantly try to see where everything is going and which side people are really on.

First and foremost, I would like to thank the author for giving me an opportunity to review this book, so thank you so much Airicka!

Touching Fire is the second book of the Touch series and it was excellent read! It was such a joy to continue the story of Fallon and Isaiah, some old (unfortunately mainly bad ones) and many new (some very much hot ones) characters that were just introduced in this book. I feel like there is so much more to know about them all, so now I can't wait to get my hands o

This one was a little bit different than the first book and took a fork in the road I was not expecting.

In this second addition the characters find themselves still on the run from everything and everyone imaginable, and in some cases, not even imaginable.

Fallon is place up against odds that are life changing, and hard to handle. She travels with her father to an interesting place and introduces Archer. I may not be a genius but I can see where THAT prize piece of info will be going in the nex

Yay! I can finally post my review on this book!

Okay, so just so you know, I LOVE Airicka's writing! She always makes up the yummiest male leads and the surprises and twists in her books keep you guessing.

So, Fallon and Isaiah run into her father and a whole new world is opened up to them. Now Fallon is in even more danger than she was previously in and there are more threats against her life than you're able to count. This poor couple NEVER gets a seconds rest in this book as one thing after an

I loved it... Fallon was a little more grown up and I loved her witty personality. When she finally learns about herself (and OMG...I didn't see that coming) she is determined to stay alive. Isaiah, yes he is still stunningly handsome and fiercely protective of Fallon. They have a love like no other ( I loved how when she thought Isaiah was going to break up with her and how he told her how silly she was it was a " Girl, it's obvious how crazy he

Touching Fire by Airicka Phoenix is a YA paranormal novel. It is the sequel to Touching Smoke....and boy did it take the story to a new level.
The story is well written and completely intriguing. This was definitely a could not put it down book. The plot was an intense roller coaster ride of thrills and surprises. Fallon learns more about her father and her creation - and the secrets are mind-blowing. I seriously do not know how Ms. Phoenix thinks some of this stuff up.
