What turns a man into a killer? Can simple words drive a man to commit murder?
****
Detective Jason Strong must find a killer whose signature is a wine glass. That is about all the police know except that his victims all share certain similiarities. The case gets personal when someone close to Jason is targeted and time is running out.
In the exciting follow-up to Where's My

Another clean suspenseful story.

Detective Strong, after the serial killer, but when a person he cares abducted, he has to do everything he can do to find the killer. We know who the killer is, only suspense is how and when he will be found.

Short but sweet. This was a nice crime story without the author resorting to trashy gimmicks to try to amp up the suspense level. The characters were nicely written and were not obnoxious. It's refreshing to read this kind of book without having torture porn, sex and lame backstories added. There will apparently be a third book to this series, which hopefully means there will be many more Jason stories to come. Worth a read.

This is the second book in a series and it did not disappoint. Detective Jason Strong returns for another murder investigation, the book picks up where the first one left off and it's not long before he is involved in a murder investigation.

I reviewed the first book in the series "where's my son", I stated I needed to catch my breath as the story was fast paced and gripping, this is just as gripping and I am really enjoying following the series.

Detective Jason Strong is an interesting character

This is a police procedural, not really a mystery. I worried a little because sometimes books described as "clean" or "Christian" can be (to me) preachy. That is not the case here. It is clean, I don't need graphic sex scenes in a mystery - they always seem included just as a gimmick anyway. And no preaching.

This is the second book, I didn't read the first, but I plan to track it down. It worked well as a stand-alone. The writing was very good and the storyline took me along to the end.

Enjoyed this one. I hadn't read the previous Jason Strong novella, but this wasn't an issue in reading Bloodstain. The narrative was engaging and the prose well formed. Would happily read another from Mr Dalglish.

Bloodstain is a relative short story about a serial killer who leaves a trademark wine glass at each murder scene. He targets certain women who are tall, brunette and in their 20’s. Detective Jason Strong and his partner Vanessa are assigned to investigate the cases. After killing a few women, the killer then targets Vanessa after observing her at a press conference about the case.

This was a pretty good story with a decent plot, which was nicely paced. However, there was little character develop

This was short, quick reading and very well done. The protagonists are San Antonio police officers, one a pregnant woman, the other a man. Women are being shot while tied to trees in a local park. They are nude and posed with a wine glass in their hands. You know who the antagonist is from the start, but the procedural work done by these officers in locating and capturing this killer was captivating.

Don't bully in high school!😳

A serial killer killing women who resemble each other. Being grabbed by a perpetrator is everyone's fear. That is what is so gripping about this tale. The dialogue is good. The main characters are good, but most of all the increasing intensity is what makes this a good read and probably would be a good tv show!

Another good read.

I was hooked by the first paragraph. The feeling never left me till the end. These books are not too long and sometimes not long enough, you don't want them to end. Looking forward to the next one.

I loved every aspect of this book. I listened to the audiobook, and thought that Paul Heitsch did an excellent job. Especially because as he read the female characters parts, he didn't give them the "Minnie Mouse" voice, nicely done Paul!
The story line was very exciting, Detectives Jason and Vanessa trying to find a serial killer on the loose. The latest victim survives and the detectives are able to piece the killers identity together with her help, but will it be in time to save the killer's

Okay I am definitely hooked!

This series by John Dalglish is absolutely addicting. He has proven that you can write an interesting book without using the famous four letter words and without including explicit sexual encounters by the characters in the book. I am very impressed and definitely hooked on reading this series. Thank you Mr Dalglish for writing a truly enjoyable series of well written fiction. Outstanding! I have actually recommended your books to my grandchildren that are in high sch

I just finished this book and had to take a minute to catch my breath. This one is the 2nd in the Det. Jason Strong series and it's as good if not better than the first one. Great suspense story. A serial killer is on the loose and his victims fit a certain profile. Too late they discover that Det. Strong's partner fits the profile so it's a race to find this guy before he kills his latest victim. This author can really tell a story and keep you glued to the end. My heart is still pounding. I like this second story in the Jason Strong Detective series. They are well written and you don't have to worry about bad language or stupid sex scenes.

Norman has a port wine birthmark on his face and it something that causes him to get teased and picked on. He finally works up the courage to ask a girl out and she laughs in his face along with her girlfriends who over hear the conversation.

Jason is on the hunt for a serial killer who leaves his victims naked, leaning on a tree and holding a bl

The second entry in the Jason Strong series is an improvement in storytelling and character development, compared to the first book, WHERE'S MY SON?
As always, I never get into plot details for fear of spoiling anything about the book.
I will say that Dalglish spins a thrilling tale with complelling characters and page turning action.
I give it four out of five stars. On to book 3.
I almost forgot that my favorite thing about this book series is that there is NO foul language or sex. That's a big p

This story begins right where Where's My Son? finishes. Detective Jason Strong is the link between the two stories. This story was as good as the first one and kept me on edge till the end. I listened to it on audio and really liked the narrator. He has a nice voice and handles the different characters well. I am so excited because I checked and there are several more books by Dalglish. I will definitely read them all.

Another great Christian mystery form John Dalgish! Detective Jason Strong form "WHERE'S MY SON" is back in Bloodstain and this time he's up against a serial killer! the body of a young woman is found in a secluded spot propped up against a tree, a wine glass in her hand and a gunshot to the heart! Jason and his partner, Vanessa are called into investigate the murders, as a killer waits in the shadows! Who will he kill next? Where will he strike next?

What a short and exciting story! Well played. There were a few technical issues that probably needed looked at, like being off being in a forest alone and not hearing two lumberjack guys romping through the forest with chainsaws and even dropping them. I would also say as a police officer with the slightest hunch that a partner was in trouble an address check would be done to send even a single patrolman in the area that direction. Exciting to the end however!

This is the second Dalglish book I've read this week and I am really enjoying them. The writing is top rate with none of those nail on chalk board mistakes that many first time authors make. Fast paced story, likable characters, and when it says "clean suspense" it means it!

The writing on the wall!

I think your books are so good, like watching a movie hanging on to the person next to you. They should be made into mini series. God bless and keep them coming.

This is the second in the Jason Strong series and it did not disappoint. It is a fast read and there were a few grammar mistakes but the story was suspenseful and I found myself unable to put it down til I was finished. I look forward to the next installment from this writer.

I enjoyed this mystery and liked the characters. I believe he could have written more of a back story for the main ones. This would be a good author to keep an eye on.

Sweet but not sugary

Choosing clean suspense was actually an accident. But the well done characters made that a moot point. Jason Strong almost reminded me of "Hotch". Perhaps in a better world.
