Prof Jun Ma is an influential figure in Chinese environmental movement.

This book serves a good purpose and is respectable given Ma Jun's dedication to a worthy cause, but the way the book is written also shows the dangers of journalistic/activist writing

Fact after fact of why China needs to change its water use policies. Lots of interesting history tidbits tied in, but you get tired of reading all the depressing information after awhile.

Read for a class, Environmental History of China. This text, however, brings attention to issues of water management that needs global regard.
