Radar Principles for the Non-Specialist

Rate this book
This popular, compact book on radar principles for non-designers working with radar provides a solid understanding of radar fundamentals and applications, but requires far less mathematical and technical sophistication than typical engineering books written for radar engineers. Perfect for non-specialists, scientists, technicans, sales executives and marketers, pilots, airline and airport executives and many others, the book covers all the recent developments and hot topics in radar as well as the basics in the field. A complete glossary makes the booko especially valuable for reference.

I love this book. I read every word and worked every problem. It explains things so well. I cannot think of any other book that so succinctly summarizes, with math, complex system concepts without needed a teacher or mentor to lead you through what you really need to know. Made it easy to move on to more complex radar issues, which proved valuable in professional life.

Mr. Toomay and Hannen did a great job writing this book; however, the title is a little misleading. The book was a little over my head. The concepts that are in the book highlight most of the physics formulas that are associated with radar functions. The book does not give practical examples of how to solve the equations; therefore, I was left to research additional sites to better explain the steps. For a person who has a little known of radar systems, this book might be a great read.
