The Seven Years’ War was the world’s first global conflict, spanning five continents and the critical sea lanes that connected them. This book is the fullest account ever written of the French navy’s role in the hostilities. It is also the most complete survey of both phases of the war: the French and Indian War in North America (1754–60) and the Seven Years’ War in Europe ...more

Highly detailed, offers perspectives from both sides... free of an overly bias point of view and also expands into the connections with naval operations and ground forces in all the different settings of the war.

I'm sure this isn't the book for everyone, but I really enjoyed the insight into French strategy and planning for the Seven Years War. I haven't been able to find another account in English

Dry book and the title is misleading, but it does offer a different perspective than most books on the Seven Years War. The analysis is first-rate.
