I was a new homeowner looking for landscaping ideas when I picked this up in 1999. The most useful things about it were the planting and frost zones. But the flowers, plants, and landscaping ideas it gave me for the English country garden I ended up designing in the backyard had a fantastic mixture of flowers that bloomed at different times. Good choice for the new gardener.
