This book is a chore to read as a narrative but as a resource for research it's a veritable treasure trove. At its publication (translation) it was the only work of its kind available in English.

As a book to read straight through, I'd rate it as a 2 or 3, but for straight facts and the records of eye witness acounts/legends it is a definite 5.

I am looking desperately for this book.
