This book by Bongard (Russian, 1966) was 1 of 2 inspirations of Dughof to write his GEB book.
Not much text is involved with this book. It's basically pairs of geometric shapes, and it's your job as reader to determine the various patterns of those shapes.
Finding the book for my personal library was a good exercise in rare book buying. It also helps to talk to Doug (helps to arrange a seminar with Doug (whose dad is a Stanford physics Nobel laureate, so be close to Stanford or give him incentive to come to your location)).
There are not specific right or wrong answers. It's a psychological test.
Doug rates this and 1 other book as 2 stars (**) (out of 1 or 0) in important references to GEB.
